One of the things i like about the hulk is hes not just a living symbol of rage but righteous fury given form in essence hes a hero but banner is a self loathing suicidal and misguided but hes a genius with a good heart . Over time banner embraced the hulk realizing the hulk was always a part of him even before the gamma bomb he came to accept that the hulk was always there to protect and not just destroy and when they are united no one could stop them .

Especially timely with Mr. Hyde getting his own action figure at this time, with the one before him being the Mr. Fixit Hulk. As strong as Hyde is, he's no match for Hulk. Hyde, despite his size, is only about Spider-Man level strength.

I really enjoyed this issue, and how they highlight exactly how much Mr. Hyde is outclassed by Hulk. Sure, Hyde tossed him, but when they went toe to toe, Hulk destroyed the bad man, utterly; as it should be.

In a comic book crossover (1990's, I think) Mr Hyde and DC's Two-Face are working together; after beating up a male shopkeeper (while looking for information), they brutally kill him even after learning he has young twin daughters (from looking at his wallet photos). Just before killing the poor man, Mr Hyde even says,"Cute girls. Maybe I'll visit them sometime." I've never liked Mr Hyde after that story....😒

I don't think Banner ever really wants to die. His will is just as strong as the Hulk's. Every time he sees an opportunity like this to get his wish, he chooses life. Deadpool could've done the job in this example. Also, there was a time where Wolverine, with the help of some tech-mutant, Made it possible to suffocate the Hulk if transformed, but Bruce-not Hulk-chose to live. So why does Bruce hate Hulk when they both want life?

One of my favorite Spidey comics was Mr. Hyde and King Cobra (not sure of the name) break out of a super max prison. Cobra was escaping to save his own life. Hyde was on a rampage because he thought Cobra betrayed him. Spidey tries his best to contain the destruction. Hyde was too powerful for Spidey, but Peter outsmarted him.
