Haven't uploaded anything from Philly 57 in awhile. Let's change that.
I don't typically upload full commercial breaks, but in this case I think I need to. It's the first commercial break from a January 1988 airing of Dinosaucers on 57. They ran long introductions to virtually every one of their programs, in lieu of a promo and/or a station ID (the calls are tastefully positioned along the bottom). I've always liked the graphics - colorful star animation and that killer 57 CGI animation. The announcer is female, and they only used her for I think this season - Kim Martin took over announcing for the kids shows as well. This break runs from the Philly 57 intro to the episode titles.
If you watch closely, you'll notice something's missing. To be more blunt, you'll probably go "hey, where's the opening theme song?!" That's right... the Philly 57 intro replaced the Dinosaucers opening credits, presumably so they could sell more advertising and/or insert the Captain Power and Comic Strip promos that seemed to air at every single break. It also has the side effect of denying us a typically awesome 1980s Haim-N-Shuki theme song.
For those interested, the playlist:
1.) Philly 57 Intro
2.) Super Golden Crisp
3.) Captain Power promo
4.) Comic Strip promo (see what I mean about the every break thing?)
5.) Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and all three bakers before the other two sold to the white haired guy with glasses
6.) Cabbage Patch Splashin' Kids
7.) Dinosaucers bumper and title.
