It’s on Amazon prime, but you do have to buy it. I have never clicked so fast to buy a movie in my life 😆

@@verdentfool I've caved & done that a couple times, but I don't like to. Amazon can take things off so that even if you bought it, it's no longer available to download. Plus, I want other people to discover this movie. It's great. How many people buy or rent a movie on Amazon that they haven't already seen? When there is a DVD people borrow it from friends or the library. They buy it used. They stumble upon it on sale at Barnes & Noble.

And the biggest joke is that the plans were EXACTLY the same: Juliet sneak off with Romeo under her family's nose. Of course Rosaline's idea had it's own 'side effects' - Juliet's parents would have known she was still alive and simply followed her and forced her to come home. So it wouldn't have ended any better if Juliet had listened to Rosaline; she would have lived a miserable life with a forced marriage. Is that REALLY better than suicide?

To be fair ... The "fake her death" plan worked really really well in Much Ado About Nothing! Maybe to two Friars knew each other and Laurence copied the plan from Francis! But that worked because Claudio, who never considered suicide, is a lot less crazy then Romeo, and the duel gets avoided. If that fuel happened earlier ... either Claudio or Benedict is dead!

As I read in college a lot of Shakespeare comedy if people waited longer to clear things up like the the conflict between Hero and Claudio was basically the tragedy in Othello. The henchmen was lucky to confess before anybody died

Wait... Verona doesn't have a harbor... Then again, neither does Padua. Giving harbor to an inland Italian city in the Veneto region is just good Shakespeare homage.

The center of Verona is literally surrounded by the river Adige, it's a very large river and it was very much used as a route to get to the sea, there were ports and boats everywhere near the city, that people used on a regular basis to transport produces and cross the water. But the city shown in the movie is not even Verona, it looks more like the countryside of Verona, with a bit of a strech of imagination we can assume that at the end of the movie, when Romeo and Juliet are shown in the boat, they have probably already reached the Adriatic sea. Also, Padua is crossed by a river and other canals too, that shurely were used to get to the sea, so neaither Verona nor Padua had harbors but they were closely connected to the sea.
