I don't understand why some people on here are being so mean about the video. It's obviously meant to be a visual representation of someone's concept of the universal creation. Even though it's from the Puranas and not the Vedas, someone put effort into this and there's no reason to be so rude about it. Give some constructive criticism, find other resources, maybe make your own video if you have knowledge to give.

As someone who grew up in the southern United States, I've always found the ancient creation stories of Hinduism very intriguing. Being a child living in a Christian society, there wasn't anyone to introduce me to other world views. As far as I knew, everyone believed in the Bible; a book my curiosity inevitably lead me to doubt. I often have to remind people who speak ill of Hinduism that it's the most ancient of all mainstream religions today. Even as an atheist I find it much more interesting because of its unique stories and diverse, yet complex, deities.

Being an atheist is no different than being a theist. They are two sides of a coin. One believes in an invisible God because his ego feels better to "know" about the mysterious universal nothingness. The other chooses to believe that there is no god up there. None of them accept the fact that they do NOT know what this conscious energy is within all of us. Trust me, even an atheist only 'believes' that there is no one. They haven't ever died to actually know. None of today's advanced sciences have actually proved or denied the existence of a universal consciousness. Only people who have experienced it talk about it, and surprisingly, they all say the same thing, no matter where they lived or in what time. When we accept the fact that we do not actually know, the longing to know appears. The mind, being a three-dimensional organ, cannot fathom or even think about a higher dimension until it dumbs down the higher knowledge into three-dimensional object-subject comparison. And that, of course, forces a penalty on the interpretation of the former.

In sanatan belief, that too, there were no swords or cold weaponry until satyayug ended, since there is no account of mass genocidal war in satyayuga, if you were to say there was a weapon? Welp... At most it would be a animalcatcher staff or easy build weapons like pikes, axes,maces, tridents or spears. Swords and other hard to build stuff only came after tretayuga started. Since that is when humans were starting to categorize themselves into different divisions based on qualities(scholar,warrior,trader,worker). Every manvantar had 4 yugas Satyayuga, tretayuga, dwaparyuga, kaliyuga. Now think like this, you write a letter to your future generations talking about how your present era is in your view, there were flying objects like airplanes etc. Now that letter somehow survives to remain for, say 5 million years and it reaches to greet the eyes of the next civillization. I think that world would keep the same belief about your civilization. Same as your belief regarding the sanatan dharma. Because you can't guarantee they would discover same things as you did.

People fighting over lord shiva and lord Vishnu believe me they both are the same and manifestation of the supreme whom i worship as Krishna. I know this because I feel it inside. I worship lord shiva daily and i am a devotee of lord Krishna that's how I know. If you worship lord shiva with full intensity of your devotion without desiring anything he ll take you to lord Krishna believe me and you ll not even know that when you became Krishna's devotee😋😇 I mean both have a diff aspect but it's same inside it's hard to explain it can't be written in words. It is all about the point of view. Because, according to Advaita philosophy of Acharya Shankara, The Supreme Being or the Purusha is personification of entire universe or the Para-Brahma Tatva etc. But on other hand there are people who do not follow Advaita philosophy, such as me. I have been taught about Supremacy of Lord Vishnu among Gods in Dwaita philosophy. Brahman is the entire existence according to Advaita. But, Brahman is the cause of entire existence according to Dwaita. In Advaita, Brahman is everyone and everything. In Dwaita, Brahman is 'in' everyone and 'in' everything. Here, we should know, both Advaita and Dwaita philosophy are discussed for hundreds or even thousands of years. As we can see, both of them have survived till date, which means both have strong arguments and references from the Shrutis. Or else the weaker philosophy would have been proven wrong a very long time ago. Hence, we must keep our own philosophies for us. And the interesting part in Hinduism is no two people have same belief. In some or the other point they disagree. But still we have existed today in such a huge mass is because of this freedom to disagree and question (not to insult like foolish liberals and pseudo seculars). || एकम् सत् विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति ||

Yes I am also a medium so I can see the multiple use of the body by groups of people or different life times. And with the guides, the acended masters and the white light teachers you should hope that the soul and body have a lot of help during this life in this dimensions since this is a multiple dimension world really we have to learn as many as possible and function well in them. Very good piece... Please note few flaws...1) Shiva is the only unborn -- the almighty -- the God of Gods "aka Deva di Dev Mahadev". Shiva self-created Vishnu, and Brahma. Thus they are all equal "trimurty"... however Shiva is still lord of Vishnu and Brahma. This is why Shiva is also the destroyer because he is the creator of everything (including Vishnu, and Brahma... thus Shiva = Aum = Everything). Brahma is only the creator of this universe (except Vishnu and Shiva). 2) Ekadasa Rudra = 11 reincarnations of lord Shiva... one of them is Bajarang Bali Hanuman. (Just like Vishnu is suppose to have 10 reincarnation and only 9 has happened so far).3) It shows that Adithi is having all the sons... but in reality, both Diti and Aditi have sons. I forget which one is which but one has all sons who are gods, Another has all sons who are demi-gods or demons. I believe non of them have any ties to humans (Mankind). All humans are created by Brahma... and Manu and Satarupa are created to lead them correctly. I don't think they are necessarily off-springs of them. Other prajapati's, and Rushi's were created to lead humans correctly. I don't think they are responsible for human multiplication (as Christian Bible describes humans came from one man (Adam) and one female (Eve)). We in Hindu do not believe this as it would be not science proof. Even to nowadays, we don't even marry anyone close to our genes or blood, because scientifically it is harmful... and spiritually it is bad karma.Sorry I thought I add my few cents to clarify these flaws that makes more sense than what the video shows....Thank You.

Vishnu puran claims Vishnu is everything and Shiv puran says Shiva is the most important God. The bigger joke is that in Rig veda, Indra is supreme and Vishnu is called Upendra or deputy Indra ! studies show that as people moved in the subcontinent, the ideas kept changing and different Gods became important in different parts of India. Later on..with the more frequent travel of people within India and with advancement in civilisation , people tried to reconcile these ideas... so now you hav multiple versions of same story !! from which you can conclude that idea of GOD itself is man-made and HE does not exist !!

***** the very purpose of puranas is common people cant understand the vedas, so the essence or the theme of vedas were converted in easier story format by ancient risis such as vyas, suka, naradha etc.. the best of all puranas is "devi bagavatham".. there are many puranas starting from bramanda purana, vishnu purana, shiva maha purana, skanda purana, ganesha purana, garuda purana, bagavatham which are considered as prime most puranas.. :) , on the other hand vedas are in form of smritis and you need to be blessed to prounounce a single word.. "Akshara Spashtam" they call it.. :) I welcome you for a debate if you are scholar enough to handle me :)

@@vaishnava-das5794 well what about other purans they are all contradicting each others that's why I don't think of them as full truth they are just the views of different people (say learned persons of that time) that shared their own views of how this world is made but there is no such story as this in the vedas so we can't say whatever is written is the absolute truth. We are not believers like other religions we are seekers we have to ask ourself and go inward to seek the god and know for yourself how this universe was we will all get to know but for that we have to elevate our frequencies and reach god by doing yoga and meditation.books and scriptures only provide some basic idea but the truth is hidden inside ourselves.i hope you get my point.

@@सनातनब्राह्मण-भ1छ what more would you expect from a badguru follower who doesn't even know that puranas were compiled and not written. puranas are eternal and still contain 1 billion verses (shlokas) in the planets of demigods (swargas and higher planets). they sprung in the beginning of the world through the mouth of brahma ji, even before the vedas. so in this way the vedas came after the puranas in this material world. i will give you 3 links, i beg unto your lotus feets that *please read those* and *STOP* degrading scriptures like this because you badguru (who himself doesn't even know scriptures) followers degrade scriptures and say. //books and scriptures only provide some basic idea but the truth is hidden inside ourselves.// this is somewhat correct but not fully. and for you kind info. the mayawaadi (ADVAITA) philosophy of Adi shankara (whom badguru admires a lot) says that there is only one way to reach the absolute truth. which is reading scriptures and knowing who you are. knowledge is the only why of liberation because we are god but we have to realise we are god. yes meditation and upAsnA is necessary but without gaining knowledge, one can't attain liberation. +Lehan Lekh lord Shiva+lord Vishnu+lord brahma = Positive+Negative+Neutral Charges. Now you can apply this concept to anything around you. These are cosmic forces. Shiva=Vishnu or positive negative charges interchangeable. cant't say which is more powerful or less. The Brahman is Supreme !! Brahman is also known as Purusha or SHIV-SHAKTI (not to be confused with Shiva in the trinity of Bahma Vishnu Shiva) !!

Vedic version of creation more scientific than puranas. Puranas also said the same, but they personified everything to explain them easily to people. Vedas said like this : Everything comes from the nothingness, that nothingness has the power to create everything, still that is nothingness(nirguna, nirakara brahmam) And that attribute less nothingness is "existence - conciousness - bliss" (Sath Chith Ananda), we call it as Shiva. that is type of state, but not the state of mind, it is beyond the state of mind. There is no space or time. Space, time are the perceptions of mind. Shakti(energy) was totally immersed in him. When Shakti (energy) discarded her identity with Shiva(existence conciouness bliss), created a false indviduality, and want to explore herself, then born this mind (aham, the feeling of Iam, false individuality, ego). From that Mind, five senses (Shabda, sparsha roopa, rasa gandha) were emerged, inter relating with the five elements (pancha bhootas). Aham (mind) born - Space appeared From space came Air (sense of hearing and touch) From Air came Fire ( sense of look) From fire came Water (sense of taste) From water came Earth (sense of smell) Mind started experiencing pancha thanmatras (five sensual experinces) with pancha bhootas. Thats why world named as pra-pancham by our Rishis.
