I don't need nobody I can't see nobody I don't want nobody but you, only you You try and tell me you Never do compel me To come and see you, you never do Tomorrow I will see you dance And it will start again I'll love nobody but you, only you Can I see that I am blind? You'll only leave me behind You'll only make a fool out of me, out of me, out of me!

My brother, Michael Verlingieri, Jr. passed away on January 23, 2023. I LOVE this song. Rest In Peace, Dear brother. He was an extremely talented musician.

I am so sorry to hear this. I was in the band in 67 with Mike and did the lead vocals on I Don't Need Nobody. I located him a couple years back and was looking for the tape I now found of all the instrumental recordings of the bands songs. He was looking forward to a copy. Spent many a practice session with him.

@@rayflowers200 Thanks for the reply. He would have loved that. The years have been flying by. Wasn’t ready to lose him yet. I don’t really have any of his music. But In my head I can still hear him singing all the Beatle songs we grew up with. I love that song I Don’t Need Nobody.

@jjverlingieri yes we took turns singing Beatles and some others. Hours in the Garage, our studio. We had to work at learning the songs the group did before we joined. We were looking forward to performing and than the band broke up. I still don't know why. A few years back I knew where everyone was. Now I've lost track. I'll try and look them up and let them know. It's great talking to you.. Keep in touch, Ray

This is a wonderful song even though in a way it's sad especially when a girl doesn't love you. That's life but it's always best to move on instead of putting your life on hold on something that will never happen. When you move on you'll find out life is worth living after all there's great songs on this channel and other channels such as these here on Y-Tube.

hardly terrible. this is a sterling example of the garage/psych sound of 1967-68- compare this with Love's 'Message to pretty' (another LA band, but who made it big). same moody chords and lovelorn lyrical content. i happen to love this stuff, so am thankful to whoever posted this!

Let me get this straight. Someone named "peace on earth 65" posted this epitome of poor grammar and mechanics and is calling someone out for being a fake hipster, and for no reason? Hypocrisy is among us. This kid needs to get off KZbin and go take English 9 again.

As left wing as they were you can tell a lot of hippies artwork or entergainment products or whatever were deeply deeply inspired by 50s and 60s overall artistic and visual trends. Like they probably really really liked shiy like Lassie and Charlie in The Choclate Factory at some point in their lives.
