Hi Patti, thanks for your videos :) love them. Once I've styled the human hair topper (Jon Renau), am I ok to go ahead and restyle it, using hair straighteners, without washing out all the product, after a few days, or would this burn the hair, please if its had hairspray on and argan oil on it? As long as there isn't a ton of product buildup, you should be able to restyle the hair without washing it every time!

HI Sierra! There are tons of products but we only suggest Jon Renau due to the high quality. Make sure that you use human hair products made for wigs as they are different from products that you would use on your own hair.

Is there any benefit to ensuring that you don't get conditioner on the cap? It's kind of like wd40 for hair. It could loosen the knots, no?

I'm going to be lowlighting a Jon Renau topper. I'm assuming I'll shampoo, condition and dry first, but I'm wondering if I should use my clients retouch formula or work a level lighter, since the highlights in the topper are very light. Any info would be appreciated, thanks so much.

Redken products are great for your biological hair; however, they do not make products for wigs. You should only use hair products made specifically for wigs as the hair on a wig needs different things than the hair that grows on your head. The difference is that your bio hair is attached to a blood source and wig hair is not.

Now, when you said "a month", did you mean you don't have to deep condition it for a month, or you don't have to wash it again for a month? I wear my HD Naomi every day and have no idea what to expect with human hair.

Human hair is the best, and to be honest with you the minute you try a human hair wig you will never go back to synthetic. Human hair is to be treated like regular human hair.

+Jas Balzan We use all Jon Renau Products: Easihair Argan Smooth Luxury Shampoo, Easihair Argan Smooth Luxury Conditioner and Argan Smooth Treatment Mist. Washing your wig has to do with factors such as your environment, humidity, how oily your are, etc.... but on average you will wash your wig about every 6-10 wears depending on these factors.

Hello! This is a great question. You will definitely want to shampoo and condition it well with Jon Renau's Argan Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner for human hair (the conditioner will help frizz). Blow drying it with a round boar bristle brush will add smoothness and will ensure that it does not have any water trapped in the fibers, causing fizziness. One more product we recommend is the Pure Repair Restoring Balm, which helps to restore fibers that might be stressed or damaged from long term wear. It all depends on the care, the climate you live in, how oily your scalp is, etc.... Typically, a Remy Human Hair wig is said to last about 1 year but it can be more or less.
