How dangerous is a snowblower? Only one way to find out. We made a ballistic hand and foot and stuck them into various snowblowers to see what kind of damage they did.

The urge to stick my hand in a snowblower hasn't occurred to me, but swiping the waterjet or sticking my foot under a car tire has. Glad I'm not impulsive enough to try any of these, and your channel is curing me even more.

Funny enough, you can get away with your toes and metatarsals I der a car tire for the most part, long as it's just rolling. Not always fun feeling but I've had a few cars roll over my toes. If it hits your ankles tho, say bye bye to walking.

As someone who has actually put his foot under a Car tire, I can tell you it's not as bad, you feel a little pressure, but as long as the car doesn't stop or isn't too heavy (more tan 2 Ton), you should be fine. I'm not suggesting you trying it, but IF you decide to do it, take that into consideration.

one morning in WI back on 12-21-2012, after a rough break up with an ex and a night of heavy drinking, i was replaying the agrument from the night before in my head while the snowblower (which did not have a shear pin) i was using got bogged down. so i shut it down, then in my impatience stuck my hand in the chute to clear the slush... that was enough to release the blades tension build up and when it spun, that severed half of my middle finger, along with mangling my index and ring ringer. not fun. i do NOT recomdend.

I had a 1968 Yardman Snowbird. Probably one of the most dangerous snowblowers ever made. Not a single safety feature on it.

yep i once took off gloves when snowboarding and cut my thumb on a sharp edge of a board, didint realize im injured until i noticed all the snow was getting red around me. Also i had no idea how well you can drain blood from your body with just a cut thumb, the amount was pretty remarkable, scared guy in a nearby hotel reception good

@@lukeslayer i suspect it was from the shock, all i know is it hurt a fuck ton more to get teh sutures out than the severing did. the surgery i didnt feel at all since i was on meds. i literally took pictures in surgery (before, and during) and wanted to film/post a video on FB, the doctor was fine with it, but the nurses were not comfortable with it so i opted to keep those aiding me happy :) lol

Ban them all for safety reasons we must be protected from ourselves with strict laws in place. 1 because we are completely irresponsible and will obviously get injured at any chance we get, and 2 because we are unable to recognize potential risks ourselves and make our own choices to avoid them or not.

Well, I’m glad you took my advice from the lawnmower video to use a snowblower for the experiment. However, I was talking about putting your hand (the fake hand) into the chute where the snow comes out. I went on a call years ago where the guy used his hand to clean out the snow blockage in the chute, while the auger was still spinning, and it severely mangled his hand.

I think you should make a old time James Bond torture machine. Weird anime body pillow or skeleton tied up with a rope and said rope somehow tied to the auger to slowly winch you into a running snowblower, all in glorious slow mo. I clear a very large driveway and my mind wanders. ... Maybe "borrow" some ones older snowblower and just say you hit a frozen newspaper

The first snowblower you tried is belt drivin from the engine to the impellers so if your foot and leg was there it's will most likly just stop the impeller and cook the belt

It's Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Winter, First movement. You'll find it by those words. The whole concerto is goofy ahh long and even winter is 10 minutes but the part you are looking for is in the beginning (first movement)

@@zthecat movement in classical music means the part of a piece, usually there are 3. If you found Vivaldi's Winter, the part you timestamped should still come in the beginning! This is a crude example and does not represent reality but if a classical piece is 9 minutes long, first movement would be 0:00-3:00, second movement 3:00-6:00 and third movement 6:00-9:00, it's just a way to indicate the part being played because pieces can be really long. Does not have deeper meaning as far as I am aware. But great if I could bring you the right answer in your seek of the music 😀
