hmmm.. Objective truth to happiness as a basis for common ground including form and finality as a whole has to be considered to really achieve true flourishing and true happiness. Positive psychology is limited to the human approach and true happiness might not be truly achieved. 👍Father James.

Why isn't beauty one of the natural inclinations of man?

That's an excellent question. Many within the Thomistic tradition associate beauty with truth and goodness both. Beauty describes a preponderance of intelligible goodness, so our inclination to truth and goodness captures our inclination to beauty. This, of course, is a controverted point, and I don't know exactly what Fr. James Brent would argue, but that's a stab at it!
