The "Fear me. I've killed them all" line REALLY gives off 7th Doctor vibes. Here's a blurb from the Big Finish audio drama "Afterlife": The Doctor: Fear me. Koloon: Wha… what? The Doctor: Tell this to your gods, when they punish you, when they stretch you on the neutron rack: I'm still here. Koloon: But you...?! You're one... little... man! The Doctor: No, not a man. Not a human being. I am a complex space-time event. I am Lord President of Gallifrey. The Traveller from Beyond Time. I am the Sandman! The Oncoming Storm! I am the Ka Faraq Gatri; Destroyer of Worlds! And sometimes...only sometimes, I. Am. Your. Worst. Nightmare! ...I am the Doctor, and I take care of my friends.

Love Suranne Jones as the Tardis. One amazing actress. One amazing part wonderfully played by her.

The Doctor: Can you get a message to Amy? Idris: Which one's Amy? The Doctor: The pretty one. Rory: What the hell was that? Me: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Agreed, TARDIS, Agreed.

The cube Matt smith gets at 2:35 is a throwback to old doctor who, it's called a hypercube and it was originally in the 60's Patrick troughton episodes.
@767wattsy6 ай бұрын
The War Games is the story a hypercube first appears - the Second Doctor's final story, and a 10-part epic which is also the first story to introduce the Time Lords.

If I remember correctly, the makeshift- TARDIS the Doctor and Sexy travelled with was desoigned by a child winning a contest done by Doctor Who :)

because it's always them. it is always the doctor and the tardis, two grand, powerful, godlike entities Entirely Besotted with each other half stumbling half chasing adventure across the universe picking up strays and loving them like their lives depend on it (bc they do without the people they love the doctor just isn't The Doctor) in her last few seconds, when the human tardis dies into shimmering light, you can hear the tardis say i love you

IDRIS was an amazing character. The closing scene always gets to me. One of the best Episodes of any season.

Yay! One of my most favorite episodes. It's an awesome take on the guy & his car trope with some psychological horror tossed in. It's a great depiction of the sentience of the TARDIS and does a great job of explaining why it doesn't always go where the Doctor wants it to go.
@BillinHungary5 ай бұрын
The one line that I liked the best was the exchange between Matt and Idris. He was complaining about the Tardis not always taking him to where he wanted to go - but she said "But I always took you to where you needed to go". Throughout all of the 60+ years of the show, this has happened many times. Because the Tardis exists across time and space, she knows where he needs to be better than he does.

It's always so satisfying to hear the Doctor say "Finish him off, girl", a hint of vengeance and superiority

The actress who played the human tardis was in in a British soap opera called coronation street, the same soap that Millie Gibson was in.

This episode was written by the incomparable Neil Gaiman and the voice of House is the brilliant Michael Sheen.

Seeing how great it is to bring such talent like gaiman reminds me that I read Peter Jackson has gone on record that he would direct a Doctor who episode if he can keep a dalek.

Heck when it mattered I didn’t even remember this was said. I just got it now. Maybe he will have to watch it like me 20 times before it clicks. Lol
@Masq19802 ай бұрын
@@raydenel Uhm...I don't know if you realize - Rory says that exact thing in the end of this exact episode - He told the Doctor that "She was talking, she kept repeating something, I don't know what it meant -- What did she say? -- The only water in the forest is the river. She said we'd need to know that someday" So Sarah Louise isn't spoiling it because it was IN THE EPISODE

One of my favourites...Matt Smith is awesome as the Dr and was the only choice to follow David Tenant's excellent portrail.....been watching the Dr since the seventies....it's been a bumpy road, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't,......what your watching now, is some of the best writing and best acting, Dr Who has ever seen...enjoy..., wish I could watch it for the first time, all over again

Alot of people love this episode and considered the favourite of fandom for me it was one of my least favourites as i feel the TARDIS being a human and having emotions was abit overkill as in Classic Who it was always treated no more than machine a spaceship there was hints here and there but it never went further than that and times when the Doctor refers to his TARDIS as "old girl" like a guy does with his sports car or Captain Kirk referring to his starship enterprise as a "she".
@Jumpyman_thegamerYT6 ай бұрын
It’s called ‘expanding the concept’.
@Kayjee176 ай бұрын
After all the times the Enterprise held together and came through for Kirk and his crew, *she* seemed pretty alive to me.
