How to Install ODK Collect on Android (using Kobo Toolbox server)

Kobo Collect close their Legacy interface and I can even upload information into the system. I downloaded the Kobo app and I can't get it to work but your video are so good I got ODK Collect to work. Now I can continue to upload information.

@@HumanitarianDataSolutions What's wrong if I use KoboCollect instead of ODK. I have seen in your presentations you don't even KoboCollect which in my understanding matches the Kobotoolbox. Thanks

Great question! Kobo Collect and ODK Collect are essentially the exact same, except ODK Collect gets updated a bit sooner than KoboCollect. For example, Ona (another ODK-based server) used to have its own app (Ona Connect), but it cancelled the app and just uses ODK Collect with its server. So, they are pretty interchangeable, but ODK Collect just gets its updates sooner. :)

Hi there. Im currently utilising this for our customer survey. Im installing on multiple tablets for different users sharing one common kobo server. Is there a way to protect username and password in odk collect on this different tablets? Thanks.

Hi! ODK is basically the foundation software. It's an open source software, and KoboToolbox has taken it and built their unique version of it that you see at KoboToolbox.org. But essentially it's the same thing. I think ODK Collect (the app) is usually a little bit ahead, coming out with newer functionality before Kobo Collect. But they both use XLSForm questionnaires.

It is not ok if I tell the username and password to interviewer, they can change the survey even delete the survey, I try to create user (only can submit data), how to connect a program to a user
