Humber cars of the 1920s -1970s including Hawk, Super Snipe, Sceptre & many other classic Humbers

A unique collection of 85+ Humber car photos form today's classic cars upload, dating back to the 1920s, through the 1930s/1940s/1950s and into the 1960s with cars such as the Humber Sceptre, Hawk, Super Snipe and the top-of-the-range Imperial, rubbing hubcaps with various pre-war types, both saloons and open tourers.
By the end of its life, Humber was the luxury car arm of the Rootes Group (later Chrysler then PSA) empire, sitting above the smaller, less opulent, Hillmans, Sunbeams and Singers in the Rootes dealerships.
Not long after passing my driving test I came across a quad-headlamp Humber Super Snipe that had been chauffeur-driven from new, and had I had sufficient funds to buy this maroon example I probably would have done, although running a fairly thirsty leviathan such as that probably wouldn't have been the best of ideas (I was running my A40 at the time!). In more recent times I looked over an Imperial of the late 1960s, parked covered in dust in a farm building not far from us, but it looked like a lot of work to get it going again so I passed up the chance to buy it. I defnitely wouldn't rule out owning one of these classic British cars one day, perhaps a Super Snipe estate if I found one.
