Finally got all the supplies and made your eyeliner. I have 3 granddaughters (who normally don’t wear makeup) test it last night : Excellent glide, perfect on the first try Dried in good time Came off easily More importantly, the girls had a lot of fun. Worth mentioning is that even though I’d purchased the brushes you mentioned, I grabbed the “sample size that I had so that everyone had their own to test with. Got them off Amazon and they were inexpensive and came inappropriately 100 pack. They worked perfectly. Now I’m able to give out several applicators and they can change out as needed. Want to thank you so much bc not only was this a success but it connects me to my granddaughters and it was so much fun. Next project is diy deodorant ☺️

Wowzer! This is amazing!! Perfection in application and I can't wait to delve into this, Marie! I've never been a fan of creamy eye shadow because it just ended up sitting in the creases of my eyelid. Yours looks fab! Maybe it's the primer?? I'll have to check this out!

I hope you love it! Primer is a MUST for me for all eye makeup-even expensive eyeliners and eyeshadows will transfer and crease on my lids. That said, I have found there is a huge spectrum of quality/wear time for cream eyeshadows and some straight up stink, even with primer. For me, anything with water as a first ingredient usually won't work well :(

It should be, yes! I had an opportunity to test an earlier version on my mom, who has more hooded/droopy eyes than I do and it wore very well for her ❤️ My eyes are also hooded enough that eyeliner will absolutely transfer up into my socket line if it wants to, and this one doesn't!

Hi! I think I have pretty dang oily eyelids-eye primer is a MUST for everything if I don't want it to crease + transfer, even for commercially available stuff that says you don't need primer. Thanks for watching & happy making!

Hi!! if this formula have the same of similar chemicals components than a expensive store bought I wonder if there is a chance to make a “natural version of”…. I think it's probably too thick for a bottle with a narrow mouth, but one of my patrons reported good results packaging it in a jar like this: amzn.to/3GgmxRu. Happy making!

It's worth a try, though I haven't given it a go personally :) If it makes a poor mascara you still have great eyeliner :)

You'd likely have to completely re-formulate, I'm afraid. The general gist is "more liquid less solid", but that will inevitably alter the wear time and application.

Can I use mica for coloring instead? I've had terrible experience with black oxide and don't want to stain anything again. LOL

Not really :( Any black mica you use will be coloured with black oxide anyways, and in order to get enough pigment you'd need to use ~4-5x as much, which would really throw off the entire formulation.

It should be, the ingredients are very similar to many waterline safe eyeliners on the market :) You may want to pre-grind the pigments before incorporation, though, to ensure they are as fine as possible to reduce irritation potential. Happy making!

These materials are used in mny commercial products like the bobby brown brand liner Marie mentioned and they are man made. So not found in nature directly. I cannot talk about the non toxic part. You can check the each material to see if they are irritating or bad for sensitive skin 🌺

Hi! Thank you for buying my book :) I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. There are many different ways to formulate all sorts of products, including eyeliner. The book uses different strategies and ingredients than this formulation does. This video and formulation was never meant to parallel/demonstrate any of the formulations from the book. This is partly because I don't want to give away the content in my book for free, and partly because this formulation is much newer than my book (2021 vs. 2016). Does that explain it?

Marie.. I am a ceramicist. Applying with any brush. Use pinky to anchor your hand. My hands shake bad. I had to learn. Do not hold brush tight. Anchor my hand. I now enjoy my lotions. Each new formulation.. I think.. OMG.. Silky. Then hit me wait til 3rd application.. I love your ideas. But TKB I do not understand contents and i wanna kiss.
