The original plan was to search out the illegal trade of gun making in the Danao mountains. However, due to the legality of the trade, that community is extremely underground.
However, we stumbled across this beautiful family that offered to tour us around the isolated mountain community.

That's how I feel. I'm an American who married a Filipina, adopted her son, and love my nieces and nephew to pieces. I also care for a child living in poverty through a charity called Compassion International. You can find lots of Filipino children who need sponsors there. My daughter is an only child born and raised in New York. She always had friends but never any family her own age. We took her to the Philippines to meet her family from mom's side. We had just arrived and were unpacking when we heard the laughter of children outside the house. When my daughter looked out there window there were about 20 cousins playing and she was very shy and did not want to go out. They noticed her and asked her to come out and play with them. Fast forward 2 weeks later when it was time to head back home and she was sobbing, so where her cousins, hugging each other because they did not want to part. With all our material wealth, it was the thing money cannot buy that she wanted most.

Similarly, I brought my son here for his summer vacation when he was 10. Although we don't have family here, we was able to observe and interact with kids his age. He went back home humbled
