How did you install the lower DRL / FOG lights in the lower bezel...?

Those my friend cause for creativity, and cutting. They come with brackets. I removed my oem drls and cut out the back some so these newer ones would be recessed like the oem, and screwed them to the bumper using the brackets supplied with the new drls.

Ok... so you cut a hole large enough to slide the light assembly thru , from the back side. and used the attached brackets to bolt them to the bumper? and how about wiring? the new LED's only have two wires coming off them..?

@@rossceynar2668 time stamp 12:00 thru 13:45 explains and shows the back of the drls and wiring. Yes, I ran an extra wire from the parking lights to the wire for the drl halos do that they would be on along with the parking lights.

Ok I have a question... I just did these.. a different set but I installed the DRLs and had to MOD like you to get them to fit.. I cut OEM and wired them on and they won't come on at all.. However when testing them I discover that I hooked a jump box to the oem wiring on the passenger side.. the driver side DRL came on.. What is causing this?

Check you oem wiring harness that connects the drls to find the power wire when you shift the transmission out of park. ⚠️be sure to engaged your parking brake, block the wheels, and just turn the key on. Don’t start up the engine. Take all the necessary safety precautions!!! With a test light you should be able to find the power wire. Also make sure you have a good ground. 👍 Hope my opinion helps you.

Time stamp around 13:25, I briefly talk about the drl’s. Like anything modified, theee and most aftermarket drls will be mounted with creativity. On my build I cut out the center of the plastic and attached the after market drls with screws. I will come bel and use bolts and run them the opposite direction so that all you see is the bolt head behind the light. It’ll make for s cleaner look. Like I said at the end of the video, each build won’t be the same, but this was my way of installing them. Do you know what wire on the obd i would cut . My friend showed how easy it is to take a hummer in less then a min he had started it using the obd and i was like wow so i would like to disable that some how they make fake obd ports but not for hummer . i was just wondering if mabey you would know what wire to cut to stop sending data to the reader . thanks and great video I have my h2 im afraid to mess with it to get lights like that installed

Interesting question, And thanks for commenting. After looking in on this it seems like relocating an obd might be a good idea for those wanting to help prevent vehicle theft. It seems kinda important to have that port for diagnostic data. Relocating it seems like a better option in my opinion.

Shit.....we have nearly the same headlights - same wiring adaptor, got mine slapped in all common sense plug and play....and then for some weird ass reason my highbeams are reversed now from the cab :| so much for an overnight lighting revamp lol. The DRLs you put in, I have the same set, if you didn't do a video on the install I'd love to see how you mounted them. Getting ready to move down to those since I'm at an impasse with the headlights until I can go grab a soldering gun and some shrink wrap. (Thanks China)

Yeah that weird about the high beams. What brand led headlights did you get?

@@MichaelEd Ah, response got clipped by filter, I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to post a link but figured screw it. They were off Amazon sold by MGLight, basically the same setup except these ones have the wiring coming out of the center so you don't have to trim the OEM housing. I'm hardwiring them right now actually, so should fix the mis-matched High/Low problem. My biggest struggle ahead is going to be putting the in the DRLs to replace the OEMs. Those I'm pretty sure are the exact same Galvor Floods. I'm super curious if you've posted how you mounted them in there, I've been trying to look around the HummerForums and google and haven't found anyone putting up how they did their mount. At any rate, thanks a ton for the video, saved me time figuring out which wires were to what.

@@FailureToReport those drl brackets aren’t designed to mount on a hole, lol. I experimented with installing them, and screwed them to the backside of the plastic trim to help secure the light. Not a fan of how it’s mounted, but I’ve been working on making something better. When I get it figured out, I’ll definitely post that video. 👍👍

No switch to turn on and off, I wired them to the factory day-time running lights and the halos to parking lights.👍

Brightness pattern is typical of led lights. Has a definite line where the light doesn’t shine, but illuminates your path very well. High beam is nothing like halogen bulbs, it goes out in front rather than illuminating more of your surroundings. I sorry it took me a few days to respond. I’ve had many questions on this particular matter, and I’ll try and get ya’ll a good update and a “those vs. these” comparison. 👍 Thanks for the great question and watching.

Yes, but to install them you will need a wiring harness for a H3 and I believe you will also need a headlight mounting adapter ring to secure them. There are a couple of website that offer metal or plastic adapters you’ll find when searching on Google.

The seller is no longer available for the ones I purchased. @Mohammed Firas , I haven’t found any fog lights that doesn’t require some creativity and modification to install them.
