This is an excellent tutorial. The time stamp feature is excellent also. Thanks for all the effort you made.

Good video! I think I’ll make one like this for SOLIX units.

great video and great explanation of the settings you use. I'd love to see the settings to locate bottom hugging fish. I recently bought the Ice bundle of the the Mega 360 for ice fishing. Was just starting to get it dialed in after a few trips and now warm weather is rapidly melting the ice probably preventing me from getting out again.

I generally don't target bottom hugging fish (walleyes) but I want to learn. I will play around this Summer and possibly make a video if I can dial them in.

Great information. Thank you. My Mega 360 is still on backorder, but should arrive sometime in early April 2022. I’m super excited and can’t wait to use it on my Helix 10 G4N. It would be nice to be able to enter your boat length information and Mega 360 transducer location on the boat to help with pinpointing casting. I have an AlumaCraft Competitor 175 with a Minnkota Ulterra trolling motor. I plan on putting the Mega 360 near my console on the starboard side since there isn’t an Ulterra mount option. Was it tricky to get used to the scale for accuracy of casting? Thanks and tight lines. 🙏🏼

That would be a great idea for Humminbird to add that feature of entering your boat length! To learn the casting and ring distances is to put your boat near structure you are very familiar with. I used a boat ramp and some docks, start close to get a feel for the distances and then slowly increase the distance. My biggest surprise was how close 20 feet actually was when casting.

New sub here Great channel. Wish you could tell me why my new helix 10 won't work with auto chart live. Software is current but recording path won't show up with shaded area showing area I am covering. Do you have a video for using auto chart live?
@highschoolfishingcentral77532 жыл бұрын
I do not have much experience with Autochart Live. I would suggest calling Humminbird, I have had very good experiences with their customer service.

Good info, do you know if a. Y connector would allow only 1 unit to view 360 as well utilizing your transducer in the ultrex? Im guessing most use 2 head units. I do have a box for net working all my HB products? Ive been waiting for HB LIVE, loosing interest in waiting is why im looking at 360. Thoughts? Joey
@highschoolfishingcentral77533 жыл бұрын
If you have a box you will be able to see the 360 on any unit. I am still waiting for the Live that I ordered last December.

Here’s my question….you said SI would be what you use while traveling at higher speeds vs using the 360 at low speeds(most say 2-5mph). Do you need a separate unit and transducer to do this or can a separate transducer be plugged into the helix/solix units?
@highschoolfishingcentral77533 жыл бұрын
Your Helix/Solix units can "read" the 360 AND SI transducers if you have them attached to the Ethernet Switch. I have 5 units that are all linked through the E Switch and can see the 360 on any unit. Just to clarify, the 360 is really meant to be used when you are NOT moving at all. The SI is meant to be used while moving.

What is confusing me is that you said to the first line, which is the 15ft inner circle, was half of that (approx 7.5 feet) but it is a 15 ft radius. The circle is 30 ft in diameter so it would be 15 ft to the first line from the transducer, not 7.5. Just trying to make sure I’m clear on this.
@highschoolfishingcentral77532 жыл бұрын
The way I understand it is that the ring number is the circumference. If the circumference is 15 then the radius (boat icon) would be 7.5 ft.
@patrickcollentine77002 жыл бұрын
Tim, that is because he isn't correct. From the transducer to any point on the inner most ring is 15 feet. Not 7.5 Feet. This is actually obvious as the entire scale would otherwise be thrown off. He literally pointed at some rocks near the 45 foot range and claimed they might be 20 feet from the boat! lol In this example if his boat is 18 feet from the center the back of the boat is approximately 3 feel behind the 15 foot range line. To the poster, please understand what you are talking about before you confuse a bunch of newbies.

Great vid Brian ! I’m assuming you need to take the 360 rod off when putting the cover on ?
@highschoolfishingcentral77533 жыл бұрын
I actually have not put my cover on since I added the 360. I think the cover would fit over the 360 but I am not positive.
@jakeevans48582 жыл бұрын
So when you have it set at 60ft that's the diameter or the radius? Just ordered my 360 so all I cam do is watch video of others using it lol
@highschoolfishingcentral77532 жыл бұрын
That would be the diameter. Each smaller circle's distance will be indicated in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
