Today I am using Humminbird PC to organize the 2500 plus way points that I have on my Helix 12. This will allow me to delete everything from my graphs except what I am using to make my fish finder work much better and faster using Humminbird PC and Google Earth!

ha ha, I will be honest, I had to work at it for a few hours as all I could find were written instructions. Finally I figured it out. Once you do it a few times it gets pretty easy. At first however I looked at it thinking "There is no way I will be able to do anything with this!". Just play with it, pull some coordinates in and experiment. The great thing is where I have all the lake names, you can simply right click it and delete the entire thing so you have a fresh program to work with once comfortable. Ha ha there ya go! It is actually fun once you get into it. Once you get things separated and on cards editing new spots are easy as you simply sort by by date, edit then throw it back on the card. Glad you liked it. Make sure to watch the next one as you can edit and add waypoints on your computer without being on the lake.

Great info as I am attempting to manage my waypoints. I have my waypoints on Hummingbird pc but when I highlight one and click to view in google earth it does nothing. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I don’t know. Going to ask the question to make sure, but have you downloaded and installed Google Earth? I am sure you have but just have to check. It is not a pre installed program but is free. I just have not had that problem.

My issue is not that Google Earth doesn't start, my issue is that it starts, but does not take me to a waypoint or route that I have selected.

I honestly do not know. I assume based on the fact that you can export the points, they can be converted to other formats for other units. Great question!

Don’t u wish u could open goggle earth and drag a box around the waypoints and cut them and add to your new folder. I’m maxed out with waypoints and trying to separate most of my lakes. When I try to select from longitude or latitude it will grab waypoints from other lakes. Long process. But I guesss the only way to do it! Thanks for sharing. Not much info out there on the process.

Thanks for watching and sharing. So I was in the same position with that, which is why I learned it and made this video. What I did was to copy all that had the same Latitude and put them in folders. Basically I would click on one, see where it took me, then label a folder with that map name on it. I only had about 15 free way points that could be saved. I would use the export of the card as my base then copy to a lake folder and delete from the main card. Once I got everything separated I would highlight one folder, call it lake X and hit the google maps. If I had a point of two that were in a different lake, I could copy those out to the correct folder. For the most part, Latitude worked good for me on separation, but I have a few lakes that are really close and had a hard time with that. On top of it all, I would save way points to my front graph as well, so I had to combine the two list, so that was a huge undertaking. When looking at Latitude I would look at only the first numbers, example W093. W094 might be on that lake too, but I would worry about that after I got all of the W093's out. ha ha. It is fun. Now there is a way to pull them up in google maps and transfer them back to an SD card. That might be more trouble, but the next video after this one was how to do that. Hope that helps. No, I am using the lake master card, but those points do not download to your system, they leave after the card is taken out. The points I had were all ones that I set during my fishing trips.
