It needs to be said that, you get the same benefit from humming without closing off the ears and eyes with your hands. Also, very reliable research has been done in Sweden that, you receive the most Nitric Oxide in the first four breaths you take. After that, there is no benefit. So, it is recommended that you wait three minutes before doing another four breaths.

Important topic and thank you for the video! Nitric oxide is crucial for the health of the blood system and keep the inflammation level low. Additionally, it is important to watch out for a vitamin b12 deficite. B12 is needed to break down homocysteine in the blood and to produce NO. Modern food has been drained of vitamins and coffee/nicotine and several other drugs (also psychiatric ones) can deplete the b12. I was wondering maybe that's why some patients have extreme problems with psych drugs withdrawal, while others haven't.

Good tips Doc. Why do we have to cover eyes though. That part seems silly and likely not necessary. I might also suggest you lift some weights so you can build up your body a bit more. Resistance training and running (I do both) helps make the machine run great. I am older too- my BMI is 20, BP is 98/75 and just had a great full check up. I must be doing something right. I also do not use mouthwash or fluoride and my nutrition is dialed in.

@@goertzpsychiatry9340 Right but why cover the eyes? Seems wholly unecessary. One can simply close their eyes. I like the humming though. Great for NO production as is breathing through the nose, working out and having a great nutritional plan. I do all of this.

Hello doctor, I am a medical student in my third year, I found your channel recently, I saw the video about what you require to have to be an psychiatrist My dream since a very young age was to be a psychologist, but never told anyone because this is not even considered as a real job in my society, there are psychologist here but people don't take them seriously , only the "crazy" would visit them. So I didn't dare to go into this specialty, but when I found about psychiatry I felt the there would still be some hope for me to do what I real love to do. But I would still face a big opposition when taking the decision to peruse this specialty. I would like to know from you , how is this work activity, is it mere short consultation where you prescribe a medication or there are cases where you take the role of the psychologist and do long therapeutic sessions with your patient?and how frequently these cases would occur?
