Always loved the numerous pomegranate trees in these regions-you can just pick as many pomegranates as you desire!😎

I love the dramatic wing-stretch motions all the hummers seem to enjoy, and you catch a lot of them doing it! I've only rarely seen mine doing it. They're always busy doing their radar sweeps looking for rivals to chase.

I am spending my summer in Michigan this year, my first out of the desert in over a decade, and I had a Traverse City Salad at a restaurant that had a cherry vinaigrette that was outstanding!

You are so inspiring, Carole! I have a total hip replacement ... airports always double check me too. Made me so mobile (from hip surgery), and I cannot wait to travel to meet you in person!! Love that you keep going to find a challenging bird, and present great food!! Love all you do! Cheers, Cynthia

Wow! I’ve just realized how many species there are of Hummingbird! Being from Brazil now I know that all the hummingbird that were part of my childhood are of the Outcrop species. Hope you guys have had a great time here in Brazil!

I wanted you to find that Diamantina Saberwing!! I'm bummed you didn't get to see it Carole, but like you said it just means another trip to go see it! Guarana was my favorite soda when I was in the Pantanal!

The Outcrop appears to have a longer neck, to my eyes. Is it one of the larger HB's? As always, tyvm for these videos!

Love it! Bummer about the first location but happy you get to go back there Carole. I love your videos and live streams. I loved the hummingbirds in this video. You inspired me to get a hummingbird tattoo of the crimson topaz hummingbird from Brazil 🇧🇷

Beth Schlanker captured on camera the relatively rare sight of a white hummingbird sipping nectar from flowers in Petaluma.

I just want to say, I have noticed that you are putting a lot more effort into the presentation in the latest few videos. You are now talking to the audience more often, giving us a good scope of where you go. You did these things before I realize but I think the way you edit this is more engaging with more personality in your speeches and easy going. You show what you eat, explaining what is in the dish rather than just showing the dish and cutting away and you let us in on more of the local interest points now I feel like than before. You have more charm, like when you woke up ready to go, all posing cutely by the hallway with laptop in hand looking radiant. You talk to us more, saying what you are doing point by point. Then ending with a joke, true about the pig fat haha. Thank you for thinking of ways to improve yourself and not settling for less!

If you are still here near Minas Gerais in august, make sure to come to "avistar minas"!! It will be on Belo Horizonte, in the catholic university (PUC), on the 16 to 18th of august!! It's a congress, tottally free, for ornithologists, birders and enthusiasts!
