Fashion Design graduate Vanshita Mishra’s (Batch 2020-2024) collection, “Humorous Take on Self,” represents a personal exploration of identity and creativity. Inspired by keywords gathered during her research and descriptions provided by friends and family, Vanshita crafted five distinct personalities that served as the foundation for her innovative designs. Each personality reflects a facet of her own character, allowing her to translate abstract concepts into tangible expressions through her collection💕
The collection is characterised by a bold and vibrant 😍 visual narrative, meticulously constructed to embody the playful and quirky essence of each personality. Vanshita employs a variety of techniques, including bold colours, intricate beadwork, vibrant crochet patterns, and strategic panelling, to emphasise volume and movement in her designs.
By incorporating elements of humour and whimsy into her designs, she invites viewers to engage with her collection on a deeper level, beyond mere aesthetics. Through this innovative approach, Vanshita not only showcases her skills as a designer but also underscores the power of fashion as a medium for self-discovery and personal storytelling ✍️
