She is not fighting back, she is behaving as if she is guilty. So stupid of Aswad to take her to Mashal’s parents, of course an apology is not going to make them feel better, he should have tried to prove her innocence. Nothing makes sense. Mehreen was such a strong character as a girl that, despite living with people who hate her and are vicious to her, she still managed to be a top student and a successful artist. And yet, now she's like jello, with zero spine, zero vocabulary. She cant even put two words together intelligently. You know what else doesnt make sense? That Aswad's mother adores Mehreen, but in all these years, she has not mentioned to him what a brilliant student and successful artist she is...??? Really? If she was so keen for him to marry her, wouldnt she have praised her in front of him at every opportunity??? How can he not know anything about his cousin except what Mashal told him? Was he living on Mars???
