Humvee vs. Craige Creek Trail Alaska

Come along as we take you on an adventure over Hatcher Pass, Alaska up past Summit Lake down into and along Craige Creek Trail. This is an old mining road that leads up to a cabin - and eventually a lake. The Humvee did great - just steady rock crawled and opened up a world of beautiful off-the-beaten-path natural beauty.

Cool video, man. We that trail a couple of years ago, it's really cool to see all the old abandoned stuff up there. A few Rocky areas were a little difficult because they were wet, but no problem.

Should have seen it 40 years ago, use to take 4 days in the willys from willow to palmer over the pass, lucky shot mine and independence mine were still standing, lucky shot someone burned down the main standing structures , and old mining equipment was still along trail

Bears. Bugs big as stegasaurs. Constant dark. Or constant sun. Nope. Nice to visit. Wouldnt live there.

It does have its acquired taste over time. I admit the non-stop Sun is more annoying at some point than the winter as we don’t get total darkness at this latitude during the winter. It is hard to sleep while it is 10 pm and the sun is still up.
