There's going to be one in the min-series style of MADuraMAX but a VERY different truck in a very nasty location. Showing off a different type of aspect these trucks have. Then, there is an actual new series I'm filming this weekend in addition to the HumveeLife 'How To' videos. Whenever the GMC Hummer Challenge is locked into a schedule, that will seriously be a cool series! Thank you for being a fan and watching the videos, appreciate you my dude! -Craig

Call me crazy, but I love the the way a HMMWV just plows over stuff without the articulation.

The HMMWV/H1 suspension is pretty much like watching a Browning M2 .50 Cal unloading on a target vs a finely tuned M4 rifle. Just brutal as hell

I don't much like the notion of it "plowing", as in gouging out pieces of rock in those precious nature areas with its wide body, rocker panels, or rear bumper. That's kinda why the haters hate it so much: it feeds into their fantasies of it just being a big clumsy behemoth that rudely smashes into stuff because it can't get out its own way. But I LOVE watching it crawl. The idea that something that massive and heavy can still be controlled by a driver with a good sense of feel just boggles. And watching it hang in the air on its brakes or gear ratios is like a defiant middle finger to all the haters' fantasies. Big Boy can still be suave too.

I've loved humvees since i was a kid and they really started becoming popular. You guys make them look that much cooler but I gotta ask, is there anything that makes them especially better than jeeps?
@HumveeLifeUSA7 жыл бұрын
That is a great question! The straight answer is that they are extremely different. Weight, handling, driving, gearing...etc. The Humvee/H1 truly is a vehicle to its own. One certainty is that an un-modified, stock H1 is a very capable vehicle. The diesel's torque is pretty outstanding when it comes to obstacles. But it all comes down to personal preference and 'MURICA!

I own both a '91 Wrangler and an '86 Humvee, both close to stock. Stock, the Humvee is definitely a more capable vehicle, but the Wrangler can hold its own pretty well and does better in some areas as it's a smaller and lighter vehicle. As HumveeLife said, they are just totally different vehicles with different design goals. It really does come down to personal preference.

Do any of you guys run coil spring spacers for a lift or just body lifts?
@HumveeLifeUSA4 жыл бұрын
Josh Tippit many of the trucks do have coil springs in addition to body lifts. It does make for a bumpier ride.

@@HumveeLifeUSA i have the spacers for the coil springs that were given to me, would you recommend them over a body lift? Is the ride super bad?
