"We have been able to hit the most senior levels of organised crime where it hurts most - getting people arrested, seizing their cash, stopping their distribution networks in a way that I have literally never seen before."
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
The UK's most senior police officer Dame Cressida Dick was hailing a major success today - after a European investigation team cracked the encryption of a mobile phone messaging service used by tens of thousands of organised criminals.

Mini schnauzer Lola that’s what I was thinking. It seems as though the government knows these criminals are making tons of money, and then they go in to collect it, in a ‘we’re stopping the criminals’ media story, but they’re actually just taking the money. I would be interested to know where the money goes exactly, because it’s essentially blood money which I assume the government are illegally benefiting from. The police and media paints the picture of them tracking down and stopping these ‘crimes’, but it seems as though they’re purposely letting it happen

Get rid of the drugs trade? Haha yeah cause banning alcohol in America worked so well... We will never prevent all people from taking drugs, it's an impossibility. What we can do, is legalise and regulate all drugs - bringing in huge taxation to help fund things like addiction therapies, and prevention programmes, amongst our NHS, public education and other areas of welfare. The countries that have already done this - Portugal - have shown a statistically significant reduction in both crime, and additions rates in their population. The 'war on drugs' does not, and never will work because it doesn't tackle the root cause of the problem. It's an international issue that countries are trying to manage on a national level, in terms of policy.

That's just for fixing potholes. 2.5 billion is 480 times as much as 52 million. For potholes. 52 million will fill 1 pothole in every 480 in the country. Do you see what I mean when I say that to the government as a whole 52 million is fucking nothing?

They are so pleased with themselves as they think they've won the war on drugs but they have actually created a recipe for disaster because instead of having an established hierarchy of experience in place they have created a power vacuum. Now younger, less experienced and more ruthless people will come through the ranks to fill the void which will see an unprecedented amount of death and violence. All the drugs taken off the street and it has barely made an impact on the supply of drugs if at all. The county lines crews will step up and become the new top level suppliers, this has achieved very little other than putting some money in the bank for the police. They think they are winning, trust me they really aren't
