its fun to watch how joscho looks for his smile during entire song but Bireli is deeply focused ...but at the end he cant hold it anymore and shows his pure enjoyment. Love to see that

What an absolute joy to watch and hear this performance!! It's the epitome of live music. They are so great they don't have to think about scales and probably not even chords. They are flying at a very high altitude that only a few pilots can achieve. Absolutely, positively beautiful and out of this world guitar playing!!

I've been a fan of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt for many decades but only just discovered Mr. Lagrene a couple of days ago through his collaboration with Joscho who I've also been following for some time. What a supremely talented pair of individuals, impeccable timing and technical proficiency combined with expression and flair.

Joscho is hilariously amazing. There are times when I hear him play and just burst into laughter because he's technically absurd. If I didn't hear him play what he does, I wouldn't think it's possible.

You two fellas are an absolute treat to watch and listen to. It’s amazing to watch as you both bring the variations of the melody’s you are hearing in your heads to your fingers and out where we can hear them too. I’d dare say it’s similar to learning to speak a language where you struggle to make the sound you want to come out right then at some point you no longer have to think or focus your attention there but simply open your mouth and let it flow out.
@robertcarhiboux3164 Жыл бұрын
the finish, is totally sick... to be able to play the same note with each one having his variation at the same time at that exact moment while staying in equal rythm, is just perfect.

Great stuff. Joscho definitely has a bit of that rock guitar attitude with catchy repetitive hooks. He adds a rockabilly feel to the gypsy jazz genre. He makes you want to swing and bang your head at the same time.

I think this is an own characteristic of Gipsy Jazz, and does not come from Rock. Joscho may have made it more striking for You. Only that.

Astonishing playing as you would expect from these guys and that unison playing at the end was just incredible. Joscho is the young pretender here as it seems that Bireli has been around forever but Bireli is only 53. So many great players in this genre including Stochelo, Tommy, Frank and Jimmy who could have been the greatest player of all. Hope he's in a good place at the moment.

Absolutely !! & (( Sometimes )) ... While playing in a band, With GREAT & "Sensitive" Musicians , In a song that has a Section for Improvisation.. Some Spine chilling "Magic" happens ! [ Everyone Including the Audience Feels/Hear's it !!! I LIVE for those moments !! I feel Sooo bad for Performing Musicians EVERYWHERE !! ( NO Live gigs.. With an Audience)... Aaahh !! & No :End in sight. yet.. See.. I Don't like like "Playing with Myself" I LOVE the interaction of even playing with 1 other person. & " Work Stations" & Drum Machines.. Don't do it for me. So for now , I play "As if" there is an Audience... &, On electric, I ALLWAYS Play STANDING UP ! & Allways have. I LOVE this Channel !! I have been Influenced by' Django & Stephane Grapelli the moment I first heard them !

All builds on absolutely technical mastering of their art, which gives them the freedom to play out their limitless musical education, having the whole musical history in their minds adm fingertips. And man, as easy as it sound, so complex it is.
