I met Bireli in London the other day after his unbelievable (all improvised) solo show. Such a lovely bloke and very generous with his time. What a guy.
@bennyrobertson4 жыл бұрын
Bireli is one of the greatest soloists in the world, but holy crap what a fabulous rhythm player! One of the very best. Joscho is a virtuoso, and quite a nice guy as well.

When almost 30 years later, people start to play your tunes as nicely as you recorded them, it surely means they are becoming standards. And Made in France is definitely a standard. Merci Bireli.

Those days it was not so easy to find new music. I found one cd at my friends house with Bireli playing with Coryell and Vitous. Next went to a library to find Birelis CDs and found made in France. That was the way finding new artists by looking the cast and then going after their records. Or reading magazines that hinted you of interesting players. Now we have a youtube like Pandoras Box. E-z.

This performance has a flavor of the records made by Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia together. Joscho has solid and agile technic on guitar and top quality of virtuosity. Both of them show great performance, thank you.

Quand on pense à Biréli, c'est trop souvent pour son talent de soliste. On oublie à quel point il a un énorme vocabulaire en accompagnement.

I have been wondering why Joscho and Bireli never played together!!! You don't see very often Bireli playing alongside and btw he does it extraordinary!!! The solo of Joscho it is the finest thing, there are many tsigane guitar players whose are so talented and full of heart but Joscho posses and INCREDIBLE sense of music in the whole sense and with the way he masters the manouche techniques, he is one of the best in my opinion!!! Two of the best ever after Django.
