HUNGARIAN island paradise - Szigetmonostor part 1

this is a video that I filmed last summer of szentendrei sziget on the Danube bend. In my opinion it is one of the most underrated travel destinations in the whole world. you have everything! bike riding, horseback riding, bath houses, mountain adventures, and plenty of oppurtunity for swimming and relaxation. All within the surrounds of charming, centuries old villages which have somehow resisted the temptations of time. This video takes us to Szigetmonostor which is one of several destinations to check out along the island. Make sure you check out part 2 of this video where we continue our exploration inside the lovely village. More history and fun to come. I wanted to keep my videos a bit shorter going forward and break them up into multiple parts as I know everyone's got important to do! But what do you think? The island was flooded when they built a hydropower plant nearby. Rumour has it, that when water levels are extremely low you can see a tower of the small settlement that was there sticking out from the river.
