Kösönöm, szépen. I am the hedgehog swimming in the pool. I am trying to hear the directions on the way to the egytem. I got the "Ez egyenesen..." but then I don't get the next phrase... then..."sarkon balra ott van a Templom (Egyetimi) mellet." What am I missing in the middle?

Zsuzsi, these are great videos, but I am a complete newbie. I understood lessons 1 and 2. I got lost with too much vocabulary on lesson 3. I didn't understand the dialogue on that lesson either... On this lesson, I didn't understand the dialogues asking directions... sure, I can read the English subs, but I simply can't understand the Hungarian words. Do you have any tips for complete beginners on how to learn Hungarian. I have a bad "ear" for languages. When you speak in Hungarian, I can't separate the words in my mind... Great teaching style, though. I wish I could learn from you! What can I do to improve my understanding?

"Mi van ?", no "mit van ?"! In English that means "What is it?", or paraphrased "What's happened?" As you see, has a little interrogation sense.(Mi=What, interrogation pronoun)

When it's taught like this, it's easy. But it's actually one of the most difficult European languages to learn (second only to Finnish, in m view!). Zsuzsi is just a really good teacher who knows how to make it look easy. :)

@@legaleagle46 I find Finnish to be harder due to the more complicated noun inflection, even though there are 15 cases unlike 18+ in Hungarian, and also the verbs are a pain in Finnish.
