He is actually a cuman, not a hungarian, and cumans had their own (since extinct) langugae at the time. However, i loved to hear my own language in this game, and enjoyed this little "cheating" in this quest :).

It's a bit funny to think about it that THIS was the video that motivated me to try this wonderful game was not a cool looking fight scene, or a RTX supported graphics gameplay scene, only that there's hungarians in a game. Yes I'm serious right now. And after several runs and hours later, I think it's one of the best game I have ever played. The only real challange left to me is an Ultra hardcore run (no saves and horses, no death allowed and forced latin language) but that require an one sit run to be valid. Also it was just an April 1st joke, but it could be possible, the only problem that there isn't latin translation for the game, but it could be replaced by any other language what u can't speak (I think).

Would feel nice, however Cumans were not Hungarians, they were Cumans - an invited tribe coming to Hungary in 1239 asked to help against the Mongol Invasion. Nevertheless the main protagonist István was Hungarian. But to spoil your fun: it is highly unlikely that tribal Cumans spoke Hungarian fluently like in KCD.

They still could've used more archaic/rural dialect and vocabulary, like they did in The Witcher for example. The Hungarian VO is way too modern in this game.

It's pretty hard to find good voice actors that can also speak the ancient version of their language. Even english which have billions of speakers, have pretty few people capable of speaking even Shakesperean English, let alone middle-ages' English, so imagine how hard it would be to find someone whom could speak an older magyar and still voice act upon it. it would be easier to get a cuman speaker, despite the language being long since dead.
