+Chloe Zhao No, Peeta can't swim. Finnick had to go out and save him in the second book when he was stranded on the pad out in the water at the second Hunger Games. Katniss is probably one of the only ones from District 12 who could swim because her father took her to their secret lake when hunting and taught her. The others from District 12 (other than Gale), we can only assume, have never even been past the fence that surrounds them. And they have never been in anything deeper than a bathtub full of water. Finnick was even surprised to see that Katniss was such a good swimmer. I just finished the second book a few days ago, and I've never seen the movies, yet this video was funny and rather spot on for most of it.

It's sad how the real-world audience obsesses over Katniss' "romance" with Peeta and Gale, when that's exactly the point of the whole book - the audience in the Capitol is presented as shallow and foolish for caring about that, while Katniss herself couldn't give a rat's ass about romance! I haven't seen the movies yet, so it's possible they pushed the romance angle more than in the book, but in the book it's litteraly non-existent.

Read all the books, seen the movies and I have to say that (and this is in my opinion), the movies area really really great at adapting what's in the book. And no, the movies haven't centred it around the triangle romance at all...so its just other people interpreting it like that and not really understanding the point of the plot. So all in all people are just shallow!

I really loved this video! The first movie was the only one that seemed like it was done properly. Than they focused on the love triangle, which BARELY happened in the book. It was there, but not a focal point. Even the last fucking movie was focusing on it, I couldn't watch the whole thing. The book is dark and gruesome for a reason. It's no kids book.
