I am a Montana native & we grew up on chokecherries. Only had huckleberries on vacation once. But chokecherry syrup is where it's at 😉😋 Lots to see in Montana. I use to vacation in other states & realized few years ago I haven't seen the sites in my own state since I was a kid. So been traveling our state lots.

We'e been to the Hungry Horse dam and the store selling huckleberries and had their pie,(my favorite ) I volunteered at the Glacier Bible camp which has an entrance in the middle of town. We also went to Glacier NP. We are glad you are getting to see those beautiful scenes and eat the pie. I can't get the Huckleberries in Wy. God is great. Life is good !!

Bill Metcalf Hi Bill, we are currently in Sturgis, SD, and the smoke is pretty bad here. I have breathing problems so we are having to stay inside unfortunately most of the time, I hope it passes soon. Hungry Horse was a fun day trip for us while we were up in the Glacier area, just a short drive from our park. Hope you both are doing well. God bless you my friend

It is a beautiful reservoir, but to drive it in its entirely is a day long drive. You also have to know the road is not paved so most of the time it is a rough road with lots of potholes and washboarding but one of my fav places for camping.

What was the temperature while you were there?

Hi Candace, every morning it was about 34° but would get in high 70’s to low 80’s during the day-we used our air conditioner several days during the afternoon. We tried to do everything early in the day to avoid heat. Definitely better than Dallas where we are from. We loved our visit to the Glacier area. We are in S.D. now and suffering from the smoke from California. Have a great a fabulous day my friend......
