Man, how could anyone argue with this? Snow covered mountains in July, deep canyons with beautiful Rivers and lakes to enjoy. And this is only the beginning of the hike. The USA truly is the most beautiful place on Earth. Looking forward to this beautiful woman bringing more stunning footage!

The weather and scenery for that bike ride were amazing. Perfect conditions. Going to have to keep that no-car option in mind because that'd be cool to see it that way.

Kelly thank you so much for this excellent video. I don’t comment much, however I “discovered” your channel literally the day before you stepped off at Springer Mountain in 2021. I was one of a handful of people who caught your live stream a couple of weeks into the AT and said hi while you were hiking and you acknowledge my call. Some where around Delaware Water Gap, I convinced my wife Lea to watch your daily post. She also caught my addiction to arm chair through hiking, In addition to you we followed 2 other AT through hikers in 21. Since, have followed you every step, swamp walk, paddle, swim and hurricane since. Thank you for all those experiences our accumulation of years prevent us from doing. This post this AM brought tears to my eyes for its entire duration. Back when I was about 8 years younger than you are now and in grad school, I spent June-September of 1966 and 1967 working 2 jobs in Glacier and hiking every day off. Such an amazing place as you will continue to discover. 66 I lived and worked at Rising Sun, 67 -the year of the Grizzlies and Forest Fires- I was based at Swift Current (end of the road a mile or so from Many Glacier). Even though I was based on the East Side I got all over the park during times off, because of my work I was one of the few people under 26 who was allowed to have my car with me. So thank you again for this beautiful post, I saw the place on Going to the Sun where I had to yield to a bull moose walking down the center line, another where, again at night a Mountain Lion ran across the highway in front of me. Nice to see the Montana House in Apgar still there after more than five decades, I simply looked away from the screen to our mantel and looked at the pottery mug I bought there in 66. Lea and I are looking forward to being with you and your companions for the duration of the CDT. It will be our second Canada-Mexico CDT trip. Did it with Matt Hengst -the Masochist Hikes- in 22 and 23. It is a tough trail. All the Best and trail mercies to you and your group.

So fortunate to ride Going to the Sun before it opens to cars. Last July, I drove my van in bumper to bumper traffic on Going to the Sun. No stops at the sights due to full, full, full parking lots. Gotta go back and bike it before cars. Such beauty. Awesome you got to experience it.

Kelly, way way back in the earlier 1970's as a kid, my dad was in the lead driving our truck camper with all us rug rats went over the pass but also our uncle and his family came as well in their pickup with a "rented" slide in camper. I happened to be riding up on the bed in my uncles camper along with one of my first cousins ( back then that was all legal ) looking out the front camper window at the sights ... and my uncle driving was scared shitless of the cliff and although he was on the mountain side of the road and this took place just west of Logan Pass, there is a solid rock area that juts out on a curve and he hit the front passenger corner/side of the camper right into that rock and us two kids went flying across the bed with the jolt. It could have easily ripped the camper right off the truck or thrown the whole truck over the cliff. He must have pulled over to a pull out right after that where my dad would have stopped and all four of the parents were freaking out about how very bad it could have gone. Of course us kids thought it was all great fun LOL. I think some substantial money ( at the time ) had to be shelled out to the rental company when my uncle got back to Saskatchewan where they are from and rented the camper at. Anyway as an adult I have driven through there a few times and look up at that rock and have good memories. That road from one end to the other in the right weather has some utterly fantastic scenery, I have not been to any of the other more remote parts of the park though unfortunately.
