@@discreviewforyou5255 nah… Lets say European events draw 10% more people. You don’t think 10% of the people wpuld drive the extra 2 hours so they could attend? It doesn’t mean that everyone would but it would be enough to draw similar numbers of spectators. If we reduced the tour from 22 to 6 you can bet your bottom dollar attendance would be way up at the 6 events

Drove 1 hour and half to get my 3rd win this year. 1st b teir event. PDGA Rating is slow going up. Had a foot fault while putting on a birdie. Basically need to display balance. What are some pointers you can give. Cleary MA 4 going into MA 3. Mentor says don't give nothing away and attack what you can. Tips for foot fault??
@ronjones-6977
@ronjones-6977 2 ай бұрын
After you won your second MA4, why didn't you move up? Playing with better players MAKES you better. If you're in the middle of the pack in the next division up, move on up. On the foot fault, don't use a lot of body motion inside C1. The more movement you have, the harder it is to replicate. You should be able putt from 20 feet using just your arm. Try practicing straddle. It'll help. (If you don't trust my advice, look me up. Putting Champion at -94 Am Worlds, too.) Good luck and keep at it.

Here's a basket for you and a possible topic to debate. It's kinda crazy, but what if you removed the chains altogether? Have literally just the basket. It would require all touch, making putting much more difficult. Almost similar to golf where its all speed and touch to make a putt, not just blasting it into the chains. It would do away with aces most likely tho, which is definitely a con. But putts do go in all the time without using any chains. Maybe the chains help a little to prevent the disc from bouncing back out? Idk. Everytime I hear talk about making the basket harder, I always think of this. Just a thought. Big fan of you guys. Keep up the great work!😮

That's not what I'm saying, also courses a lot of the time come down to preference. For example i love idlewild I think it's a great classic course and I'm indifferent about the turf greens id be very sad to see that course not be played. I'm saying the total number of elite series events is in a good place. If we have less elite series, players are going to have a harder time playing premier tour events and going to be back more regional level events, which would likely lead to even less full fields based on travel

Northern Europe’s CLIMATE and natural flora lend themselves to beautiful courses. I don’t think it’s necessarily a matter of investment or sport familiarity within the general population. There are some comparable places in the United States such as coastal redwood forests. But no amount of investment is going to make any United States course as beautiful and lush as a Northern European course is naturally.

Europe has various advantages such as natural geography but America has way more total players and fans and needs to be catered to. As to the idea of too many events, it’s wrong. My #1 sport is racing and in INDYCAR (and F-1) it’s well known that with too much of a break and it’s easy to be forgotten and a race every 2 weeks is ideal. Racing is also a niche sport compared to the NFL, MLB and NBA. INDYCAR has had a problem with gaps in the beginning of the season after St Petersburg. Also having an almost 6 month off season in ending before the NFL season starts is too long and makes it hard to keep staff employed in the off season. Same would be true for disc golfers and making a living doing disc golf.

The new guys comparing an individual sport to NBA and NFL is very annoying. Thanks to Brody to clear the air. The GOAT discussion is a marketing scheme. Every sport does it to make people watch NOW because, marketing-wise "today's athletes in sport X is the best of all time, you would be unwise to not tune in". Some of us don't care about the GOAT discussion one tiny bit and love Phil Michelson and Ricky Wysocki a ton. Hall of Famers first round for each unless the panel is rigged. There I fixed it, Lefty (Phil Michelson for the those that don't know his nickname) is the best comparable player to Rick. Phil never won the US Open (the tourneament the PGA players think is the hardest to win....Jack and Tiger both said this), Rick never won USDGC. Tiger won several more majors than Phil, as did Paul over Rick. Phil, however, is the oldest player to win a major in the PGA and Rick's game only seems to be getting better IMO. Lastly, Prez and Ricky have won on the most difficult courses to play this year so far...based on scoring. The young players won early -- on courses that favors big throwers. Hot takes here. I have 30+ years of playing and watching golf....3.5 years watching and playing disc golf. However, I've watched almost every DG tournament since 2014 on youtube.
