From England the new chinese/Indoesian made boots are very poor quality compared to the true scottish made boots they are now made with hollow heels and shorter to save materials. All the Hunter wearers of old now wear Aigle or Le Chameau, Hunters are Scottish in name only a great shame.

I’d venture that Aigle’s are partially made in France, given they provide a qualification on their website. Le Chameau, appears to be 100% assembled in France. Definitely, a plus for both companies. Given I’m a bit of an anglophile, I didn’t consider any other boot maker. So far, I’ve been super happy with my Hunter boots and wear a pair every time it rains. The past two days in fact. Nevertheless, I love your comment and I’m glad you’ve given us some options.
