Hunter Mini-Clik Wireless Rain Sensor

We install a wireless Hunter Mini-Clik Rain Sensor to a Hunter XCore controller. The wiring is fairly simple, just follow along in the video. The dangerous part is getting on a ladder and installing the wireless rain sensor. Be Careful!!

1:03 Connect the yellow wires to the "AC1" and "AC2" terminals with the factory wires power wires connected. There will be two wires going into each terminal.
1:10 Blue and white wires need to get wired into the "SEN" terminals. See wiring for the "Smart Port" • Hunter Smart Port Inst... for the other that wiring.
2:40 Make sure it is working properly.

If you read the note on the front, it told you to go out to side to unit, push black button on top of the rain sensor, it will then turn green. Will turn red again after it rains and stay red until the outside sensor drys.

Did you turn off the power since its hard wired to do the sensor install?

I did not turn the power off, but it is highly recommended to turn the power off.

Does "bybass" mean "bypassing the sprinkler" "(as in "don't water the plants") or does "bypass" mean "bypass the moisture detector" and function as if the ground is dry?

It is referring to bypassing the sensor. So if the sensor is giving you problems or you don't want it to do it's job then use the "bypass" switch. There is a method to having a zone not affected by the sensor. I'll do a video this spring on it. In some cases, you install seed, new plants and/or have flower pots under a covered patio, you can have the sensor not affect those zones (they keep watering) and still have it work for the landscaping that is getting the rain.
