lilith’s palisman is a white raven! this also means that instead of an owl beast, lilith’s cursed form is a raven beast. as for the palismen needing wings thing: most of the palismen we met up to this episode were birds, but all palismen can fly regardless of if they have wings or not. you’ll also notice when luz stuck her head up to see who was flying the ship, hunter was whistling the theme song! and last thing: if you ever watch amphibia, you’ll meet the guy the plushie under hunter’s pillow is modeled after 👀

Codes: "Seething seas and puppet strings. He" "SEEK TH" Here's an interesting thing: There's a deleted scene from this episode in the vision Belos shows the coven heads at the beginning. In the deleted scene, the Titan stands up in the Human Realm. This also sort of brings up an issue the show has with scale. At some point, Dana said that the Titan was roughly the size of Vermont, which is one of the smaller US states but still WAY too huge to really make sense and MUCH larger than any evidence in the show itself suggests. Vermont is around 160 mi (over 250 km) long, and that size just... doesn't really add up. The Knee would be way too high in the air, and it'd take more than a couple of hours to walk between it and Bonesborough (which is on the Titan's right hand). It's not like it's the only inconsistency with size, either, King's size changes practically every scene... I could go into more detail but I don't really want to. Fun fact, we've actually seen the construction coven head before. He appeared in episode five of season one, before we even met Lilith, he was the one that had the power glyphs. The show is, in fact, not about romance, and Dana has said as much. It's always included as a supporting element of a story, not the other way around. A very popular supporting element, to be sure, though. Lilith's palisman is a raven. Birds are kind of a Clawthorne thing, all of the Clawthornes we know of have have bird palismen. Which makes me wonder what sort of palisman King would have, if he ever got one? I get the feeling he'd name it "Prince" no matter what, though.

One thing I really appreciate about Hunter's character design is that he has a lot of features that are usually portrayed as unattractive, or exaggerated for comedic effect, but drawn in a way that makes them just look... Normal. Like, he's got the gap teeth, the big facial scar, the hooked nose, the eye bags and the really heavy eyebrows, but none of those things are ever even remarked upon or singled out. Same as how Willow is bullied, but not for being fat, because her being fat is treated as a completely normal part of her.

“You should forget about it before you’re hurt” I’ve watched this episode and reactions to it so many times and somehow never picked up on him saying this. I guess I didn’t realize just how much of his true character was revealed, since this is where we officially meet HUNTER not “the golden guard”. His golden guard persona is a complete act. He can hide behind his mask and be “cool”. But Hunter is compassionate. He worries that Luz experimenting with wild magic will hurt HER. Didn’t even mention hurting someone else with it. He’s genuinely worried for her safety in this scene. He’s also insecure and ashamed about his interest in wild magic because he thinks it’s so dangerous. He’s always genuinely believed he was the good guy. The Belos is good. That they both have an interest in protecting the people that live there, even an outsider like Luz. I obviously knew all this after future episodes but I didn’t really pick up on it at this point in the show, even tho looking back it’s so obvious.

omg my ears are like that too! Being able to sleep on your good ear to block out more noise when you sleep is great! I got a hearing aid for that side but basically never use it because it really helps cut down on my noise sensitivity when I only really have to block the one ear, really convenient for people that talk super loud, just turn my bad ear more towards them or swap ears if I'm on the phone~

Hunter is probably my favorite character, he's a lot like me. His relationship with Luz is great, very fun to watch 🤩 It's good that you pay attention to the details of the background, in future episodes it will be useful in creating theories and putting the story together ^^

I can see people have mentioned already that the plushie under Hunter’s pillow is a character from Amphibia, but also- the little figurine on his shelf is a character from Big City Greens who has the same VA as Hunter! Zeno Robinson is the VA’s name and he’s *great* imo. And I’d probably be pretty basic and carve a kitty, but alternate choices would be a boa snake or a lammergeier/bone vulture.

I've always taken it that Luz assumes Amity's pretending to be sick to avoid talking to Luz about the kiss. Whether that's the actual reason Amity wasn't at school or not, I think it's what Luz would assume the reason is. I've seen other people say she was probably grounded because of her hair, but getting grounded from school? Is that a thing? Surely that would be the one place she's allowed to go. About Palismans without wings, we have seen them before, but only briefly, during the episode where Luz has to get Owlbert back from Bat Queen. Plus Lilith's staff seems to have carried Willow and Gus back to the Owl House while her palisman was still in inanimate lump of wood mode, back in season 1.

Mosco, all I'm gonna say to you is: 1: Your gonna get quite a bit of info, as well as a slightly major mystery solved in episode 10, also, the answer to the mystery is *F-CKING ADORABLE!* . 2: Episode 14 is a very sad emotional rollercoaster, get ready to shead some tears,(It's a backstory info episode, not revealing for who though). 3: Get ready for emotional damage as well as a ton of info in episode 16, also your gonna have a great time looking at backgrounds in this one. 4: Grab Hamish, a scream pillow, and a tissue box for episode 21; lots of happy/intense/devastating sh-t's gonna happen. If I could carve a palismen it would definitely be a spider, I see them as symbols of creativity, they may look scary but they're actually next to harmless (well, most of them lol) and very chill which I kinda relate to as someone with a handful of body mods and a, let's say, personalized style lol plus they're very cute little dudes imo :)
