The reason Hisoka is doing the work for the troupe is because Chrollo can't interact with the Phantom Troupe because of Kurapika's chains. So Hisoka needs to talk and take the nen-exorcist to Chrollo

stars are basically an extra achievement for hunters they can earn. its a big deal. a single star means a lot and its up to three. you have to have a remarkable accomplishment in one field (e.g hunting a very big bounty, finding super rare ruins or other treasures) to get one star. youll get the next star if you tutored another junior hunter in nen, who then recieves a single star. three star hunters have to do everything a two star hunter has done and accomplish remarkable feats in various fields. there are only ten three star hunters in the hunter association :3 bisky is a two star hunter. she is a big deal.

If chrollo speaks to any troupe member he dies but hisoka is not a spider

I have rewatched that show so many times and I still find new things. 12:30 they mention this is a VERY advanced technique we ve seen that before, on Chrollo vs Zoldycks, Zeno used it as an opener to blast away Chrollo. Even the jump in the air technique is gonna be used in the future and most people would already have forgotten about it.

Not really a spoiler but gon's nen ability requires him to say the lines as a condition and also has variants Rock paper rock > his enhancer punch Rock paper scissors > conjuring ability Rock paper paper > emitter ability

That is just due to the translation though. Jan-ken-pon does not mean rock, paper, scissors in Japanese, which would be gū, pā, choki. The Japanese name is jan-ken and they add -pon in the phase where you would say "show me rock" in English, so he's saying game-name+rock/paper/scissors.

Yeah, I wish we got more time with the Phantom Troupe and Hisoka. They're just an interesting group of characters. Would love to see how Killua's brother joined their ranks.

@@zegion999 all of killua's siblings are amab/biologically male. it's a commonly known fact in the fandom. google is free, go look it up. togashi does a lot of gender bending and includes lgbtq+ characters in his works. in hxh, those characters are hisoka, illumi, alluka, and pitou. possibly more i'm forgetting

2:14 That is a confusing translation because jan-ken(-pon) is just the Japanese name of the game, so rock, paper, scissors is not a direct translation which would be グー・パー・チョキ (Gū, pā, choki) in Japanese. Jan-ken is the Japanese name but when you say it while playing, you add -pon (which does not mean anything) to it when you would say "show me rock" in English, so when he actually shows his hand, he alternates it to jan-ken-gū (name of game+rock). Gon can heal fast because a naturally gifted enhancer, and one of the benefits of the enhancement nen category is body strengthening and healing. It's why Gon was so incredibly strong for his age even before he learned nen.
