You’re not the only one I felt the same. I know that they are tons of people that are against hunting bears with Dogs, but I’ve never felt bad for a bear that’s been harvested with dogs like I did for this one. At least when you run a bear with dogs it has an opportunity to get away or even fight the dogs. I mean you have more bears get away than you tree in a given season I can assure you of that. I love KG but as a hunter in my opinion this is unethical.

Black Bears are basically giant forest dogs. They rarely attack you unless it’s a momma with her cubs. Most of the time they’re just goofs.

Ya know... a $3 laser pointer, an $8 rechargeable battery, 3 cheap 2" mirrors, & a $10 photodetector. When something interrupts the beam, it breaks the circuit. Which trips a 300W strobe light & a 100dB siren. That bear will run away totally freaked out. It worked just 10 miles west of Walsenburg, CO in the mountain base. We had an upstart yak ranch. 4 yaks & 3 pitbull-mix rescue guard dogs. And of course a number of firearms (Mossberg 500 12 gauge pump, Taurus .357 magnum 7 shot revolver, Savage .30-06 rifle, Glock 9mm...) Side Note: Today, I'd add a Marlin (Ruger) .45-70 lever Dark 1895 tactical rifle.

As a fellow hunter, I love the thrill of the hunt, trapping, and all of the above, but I also think it’s sad watching the final moments of animals after you trap them and shoot them. You really gotta respect the fact that the lord sent you that animal to feed you.

maybe unpopular opinion, but I totally agree. The bear is way cuter and I don't have a grudge against bears as much as I would mice and rats. Smokey just wanted to some chicken, some trail mix, and a drink of water. Stuart little wants the food that is already in the pantry and to spread the bubonic plague.

Loved this episode. Great content! I do a lot of black bears trapping myself. I use a similar trap but used a modified propane tank now. That way they have to be a certain size to stand up and reach into the back of the barrel to get the food. Guarantee a bear at least 180lbs. Lower the barrel get a smaller bear. Good to see Gabe!

I have responded to a few comments saying the hate kg for him doing this it makes no sense, trapping is a good way to catch nocturnal invasive species.
