AWESOME video. Great hunting wish I was there. Back where I live if you see lightning and hail it's just a matter of time till the sirens scream and down to the basement we all go. Mostly just funnel clouds but safer not to take any chances. Great videos guys.

Hello - love the video guys! Great work - I am looking at the Airforce Texan SS for my farm in rural Washington and am wondering which caliber would be the better option, the .308 or the .45 - in general I dont shoot smaller animals and have big issues out here mostly with coyotes, feral hybrid dogs (wolf), bobcats, and we do have cougar and bear roaming about. It may be nice to take an occasional deer as well. My first impression is I should get the .45, but I have watched some videos talking about the versatility of the .308 size in terms of being able to shoot smaller pellets down to 50 grain, and the efficiency in using the air for these smaller sizes when you dont need the large caliber. What is your take on the choice of calibers for this platform? Thanks for all your hard work, looks great

308 would be plenty for Coyotes but according to what info i have Deer are not permitted with an air gun, in your state. However, most states that do allow deer hunting with Air Guns require a 45 Cal. Now not sure if you are aware of this but you can buy a 45 cal & later on buy a 308 barrel & change the barrel out of your 45. If you have a Facebook account lookup Air Force Airgunners, most of the people on that page have very good Knowledge of the Texan & can help you more. Hope this helps

Good video... getting a custom 257 myself. Couldn’t tell bullet impact....where did you connect, and how did the bullet look?

1st shot was just behind the right ear, the second shot was about the same spot. Both bullets where solids and were pretty mangled from going through bone but not a lot of mushrooming as they were not hollow points.

AirForce Airguns I have a hollowpoint design for the 457 that has been a real crusher, and I’d like to adapt the design to the 257... maybe 100grn or slightly more... we’ll see...

25 ya really, i finally shot my new 22 cal Gamo on mid size hawk. The hawk was on a telephone pole and dropped it ass . For 7 seconds then started to walk with one wing sticking up. my next door neighbor has a broken fence. so the hawk sinked out. I couldn't go into my neighbor backyard run for the bird. even though she wasn't home. Lol. This happened 2-2-2025

I personally prefer the .25 Cal over all for small game hunting.

It all depends on what your needs are . Target shooting? what distance? Hunting ? What size game? There is many factors in deciding what caliber fits one's needs. they are both great calibers , .25cal usually will have more energy , but the .22cal will usually have higher velocity.
