@calvinbowling99014 жыл бұрын
I myself an a Herper and I keep my snakes well maintained.and I knew that florida had a problem with Burmese phytons.but I dodnt think it was this severe! It all of these irresponsible people that turn these snakes out its people like that cause all of the negative feelings and attitudes towards the whole herpentoligy community.i am responsible with my snakes I have 36 years of experience with keeping them.and if it wasnt for people like you that go out and put in all the hard work in catching these giants then it would be devastating to the whole state of Florida and there is already some irreplaceable damage because of these snakes and iguanas because of people's carelessness and irresponsibility. Sorry this comment was so long I'm just very passionate about my reptiles. But thank you for going out and doing the awesome job that you are doing keep up the great work.

@PythonCowboy4 жыл бұрын
Mark S correct but small pythons aren’t the problem for our native wildlife, they mainly eat rats. In the areas where we have removed most the larger ones, our natives are on the rise. Which is the name of the game. Over time as we develop better methods and gain new permissions it should get easier and easier. I also believe there aren’t as many pythons as folks think but that’s hard to say.

Nice job! I wish the state of Florida would pay big dollars for each snake caught and turned in. I think a program like that would get more people out there hunting these things down.
@lenalyles27124 жыл бұрын
I know several hunters, they make some beautiful things out of the skins and sell the meat. Pays better than the state.
@PythonCowboy4 жыл бұрын
Marcel Silveira the state does have a program, I’m apart of that program! They pay me a bounty for each python I capture and turn in, I also have beautiful products made from the pythons skin and sell those. Once folks realize the value in the skin, they won’t care about pay from the state!
