@@zarkan88 hey mate my Dad was a hunter and as I got older we kind of learnt how to hunt Sambar together. He was always more than happy to see me do all the shooting and therefore I've ended up with most of the heads on the wall but yeah he started me off in the right direction. I have mates that have shown me the back packing side of it but a lot has been picked up through trial and error.

Do u find the birds give the deer or you away
@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are definitely worth paying attention to. Multiple times I've heard birds making a heap of noise to then be looking at a deer so obviously they give their position away as much as they give ours away. I was tracking a stag once after finding a fresh rub tree, slowly moving into the next gully I heard and then saw a Wonga pidgin take off, after glassing that area for about 30sec I saw the stag standing there watching me. When your in the bush you need to pay attention to everything.
@mattbass_strait60302 жыл бұрын
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventuresmakes sense cos 1 time I reckon I was close to a samba and birds started being more noisy/ alter. Maybe the deer was holding tight in the thick scrub.

Thats hard mate I had my Dad to show me. Id suggest finding a hunting club/group and joining them and attend all the meetings and some have club hunts etc. Going it alone isnt impossible either so dont be afraid to buy some hunting books on the animals your interested in hunting reserch on KZbin and just start with baby steps learning for yourself with anything is the most rewarding .

Hey mate I run a 270gn ELD-X up the spout followed by 225gn SN PP Woodleighs. Why ? cause the 270gn are seated too long to feed through mag but I want the horse power of them for the first shot over 5200ft/lbs @ the muzzle plus if I get an opportunity at a longer shot my turret is dialed in for the 270gn ELD-X so I don't need to change the bullet in the gunnfor the shot.

Cheers mate for the comments. Dingos have their place but these are 98% wild dogs which do nothing but cause problems for our natives and farmers livestock. Don't forget dingos where introduced by the aboriginals so therefore aren't native and in doing so they wiped our mainland devils and tigers.
