Keep up the great work. I enjoy all of your videos and help with my 10ga loads. Hard to stop spot stealers with all these smart phones now.

To an extent, yes. But my relative wouldn’t figure it out that way, he needed to be with to learn it. He’s demonstrated that quite well. Happy my loading videos helped!

I’m 70 years old starting waterfowl hunting when I was10. The situation you described happened to me years ago and I haven’t spoke to at one time my best friend since. I hunted with my dad until his passing and now with my son and 10 year old grandson. I learned my lesson also. I have my boats side by side set up to make things easier still a lot of work do things by yourself but it’s better this way.

I have had this happen with fishing. Take a guy to fish. Come back and see them at the very same spot. Hurts my heart to have that happen.

This is the new normal. Everyone wants to post their pile pictures and success pictures on social media. It’s all about the success, not the hunt anymore.

Public hunting sucks. There will always be spot stealers and guys that beat you in the mornings. Competition here in the middle of the Mississippi flyway is as fierce as anywhere in the country. Best advice is to buy land one day if you can or try to become friends with people that own private land and/or clubs. Having said that, hunting with someone wether it's a friend or family member is almost always more enjoyable then hunting solo. Swapping stories in the blind or seeing someone shoot their first banded greenhead are things you can't experience alone. Sharing the hunt and the success of the hunt with another is always more enjoyable then being solo. You got a good channel going here. Really enjoy the shotgun shell recipe videos. Killed a lot of birds this year with some of your bismuth loads.

I understand the private land comment, but it’s not quite like that around eastern Pa. We aren’t a waterfowl state like Mississippi. The best option you could have is some fields near where the geese roost. Ducks aren’t hunted in fields here unless it’s flooded. I don’t plan on staying in PA for the rest of my life, so I’ll be moving somewhere else where waterfowl hunting is more prevalent. I do enjoy having others in the blind succeeding, but losing my spots to an unethical person isn’t worth it. I’ll sooner do it myself and wait for my boys to get older before going through this shit agains. Hunting alone was a struggle at first, but can be quite peaceful and teaches you to enjoy some time alone.

It's happens every year. I had a private pond for years best duck spot ever. The only place I could go and be the only one. But public land has been getting worse. Had an agreement with a group hunt not yo go to my spot after the hunt with out asking. The rest of the season someone was always in the couple spots that were decent. I don't take any one to my hunting spot or my fishing holes. Life is great

This is the exact method I use now. I don’t take anyone new anymore. I don’t need anymore competition. Before my uncle started taking the spots I showed him, I hardly ever had to compete. Now I have to get up 2 hours earlier to hope I get the spot.

No one goes hunting with me. They all say they want to go until I mention early hours and ice water.

Yeah, it depends on the conditions sometimes. The other day I had to drive my boat over a tree and get it about 3/4 of the way past and push it over the log to leave a spot. The water rose that much while I was hunting…

I could, but I’ve been hunting public land forever. Unless you get a flooded field around here, you’ll only get Canada geese.

@@avidwaterfowler7522 It’s hard to forgive. Jesus does require us to forgive others. The Our Father prayer we ask God the Father to forgive us as we forgive others. I hope Jesus forgives me better than I forgive because I’m bad at it. But I’m trying because I want to go to Heaven for sure. I’m not going to risk losing Heaven just for some folly other people do to me.
