I just picked up this very same rifle and can't wait to get my dies and start reloading for it. I've shot the 180gr Remingtons and at 100 yds I'm getting 3/4" groups. I'm using a Primary Arms 1-10 FFP lpvo for my optic. I'm really surprised at the accuracy from an out of the box rifle with factory ammo. I'll be shooting suppressed and can't wait to load some subsonic ammo up and she how it performs.

I have almost 2 full sets of powder and shot bushings from PW for the 800 plus and then 30+ powder from hornady for the 366 and 13 shot bushings. I go through and drop multiple charges with different sizes of shot. Then, label them with an engraver. So i know which to switch to when working up load. I use a reamer to adjust to what the needed load is. A little above or below depending on powder, wad, hull, shot, and velocity. Then go to the patterning board and spend hours swapping out chokes. Then record it in a book. What euros great for storage are those large plastic containers that chocolates come in around valentimes day. They are clear, evenly spaced and have about 6 rows.

That is a great video on that load. I have not seen those hulls around here at all, trust me im a dumpster diver for hulls. You must have 40# of pressure on that wad. I had rebuilt a PW 375 b that was upgraded for a shooter at our club. I was impressed with how nice the reloads turned out. Was easy to load with high gun. Had to use a 1oz wad for 1 1/ oz. High gun just doesn't fill up the area as easily.

Yeah, that’s the main issue with these denser powders. I believe clay buster now makes the correct shot cup, with longer cushion section to accommodate what you mentioned. When I do load with HG/TG, I only seat the wad lightly. I let the crimp do the compression. That way, I don’t get a dished in crimp. I love Alliant shot shell powders, I can’t wait until they’re available again.

I’ve had federal hulls that I run seven or eight times now and not one to come apart. I only load them with heavy turkey loads though that aren’t super fast. Use them in my gold. I’m not over book. I even have some over a dozen times shot now that I’ve trimmed down to 2 7/8” for my Damascus SXS because the ends get brittle and crack so I trim them short. Wondering if your running them to hot and the hulls can’t take it and are letting loose?

I have actually had brand new factory black cloud loads do it. I’ve never had any other 10ga hull separate like this, ever. Ched, have super thin flexible plastic and really thin steel case head, even they run flawlessly through my guns. @@avidwaterfowler7522 helpfully I don’t run across any defective hulls. Just loaded up almost a 100 Remington , Federal, and black Winchester hulls in the last couple days. All 2.5 oz loads for turkey hunting. I can say the Winchesters mist be re branded Cheddite. When I knocked out the primers the brass mushroomed out. I flattened them back in my classic lee loader with a hammer strike. The Remington and federals stayed flat. I’ve had that with Cheddite in the past re loading RST hulls. They are pretty weak but hold up. Maybe polish the inside of your action and chamber to remove any burrs? I can tell you it’s a long process loading That many hulls by hand with a classic lee loader. @@tripplebeards3427 I load a bunch since I’m mostly a waterfowler. I have had the ched and new Remington dome in, or out because of priming. The old Remington are tough as nails and they’re almost impossible to damage. As for the Winchester hulls, I’m not entirely sure about the new hulls. But the old are definitely Winchester plastic. I’ve seen old hulls with plastic and paper basewad.

I think I have a theory the reason why the 10 gauges being discontinued because most people think of 10 gauge is overkill for hunting and house protection Joe Biden himself say you're better off using a double barrel for home protection and stuff like that yeah well 10 gauge in a single shot will handle almost anything but it's okay because I've heard rumors going around the internet about a group of guys that calling himself the boomstick boyz I heard they are creating something otherworldly that can rival the punt gun but a modern day technology that can be fired from the shoulder and hold a bigger slug than a punt gun i seen the shell on what they are making and i can say its monstrous 5 inch long from the rim up to the opening of the all brass shell and that shell is 2 inches wide they said its going to make History in shear recoil and sheer size and the Big ass pattern that it looks like it will throw out there I can only imagine what them boys are going to make and then when they say it's going to be free-handed and fired from the shoulder I guarantee you that gun is going to be ridiculously large enough to rival the punt gun

With smaller shot and a multimetal wad like I use in this load, you absolutely do not need a Mylar wrap. It’s a waste of money and time. I use a Mylar wrap in two loads at the moment and both are bismuth 10ga and 12ga because I’m using short wads that only have about 50% of the shot protected. I have seen only minor increases regarding pattern improvement when adding a Mylar wrap with buffer, but any improvement I can get is worth it regarding bismuth waterfowl loads.

Overshot card would increase pressure, I assume this does not? Once fired the base of the wad should seal against the hull anyway correct?

I don’t think an OSC wad affect pressure if any at all. However, I’ve never tested it. This does not affect pressure, you are following the recipe whether it’s your load or not. You’d be using the same powder and wad it calls for regardless. The gas seal gets flared out naturally upon firing.

Absolutely. In fact, you’ll probably get more accuracy like I did. Get them going 2300-2350 and you’re golden!
