I know this is an older video and things and design have probably been modified as times gone on I would highly recommend keeping good ventilation at the top where u we’re talking about closing in. Maybe with some sort of grill of duct covering. I would do this so u could. Use a buddy heater and avoid your windows fogging up I do like the size and height of your build you did a great job

Nice. Need horizontal 2x4’s just above ground tying the 4x4’s together. Thanks for sharing.

Nice hut!! I would recommend getting it stained to protect the osb. I’d also look into the Deerview windows. They would work fine in your blind.

Id love to spend the night in it for the adventure aspect. By doing so it also avoids having to trek into and out of your spot in the dark.

nice stand man! I'm in the process of designing a few for my land. Anything you would do different now that you've had a deer season pass? I'm going with stairs and a door. I was thinking 6x6 but the 8x6 looks roomy.
@GoproBrayton7 жыл бұрын
I would definitely put more windows in because i just added some more for this season and it helped a lot. I think it would be great to do stairs with a door because the trap door is kinda difficult to climb through with a ton of gear. The 6x8 is great because it has a lot of space but a 6x6 would be a lot easier to build because it would be a lot lighter.

Jeremy Brue I built a 6X6 and it’s a bit small. Make it bigger, you’ll be happier you did. 👌🏾

That's an excellent stand! That's a stand for an old man... not a 16 year old young buck! You need to be out there in a ground blind or tree stand freezing your &@!!$ off like we old guys did/do!!! :-)

This is hunting deer like a duck hunter. It's not for those of us who go after big bucks in big woods. We track, stalk, still hunt and get a lot of exercise covering lots of ground and viewing lots of beautiful scenery. Sadly, it's a vanishing skill set. Heck I only recently started carrying a flip phone while hunting, just for emergencies, and it's only turned on when needed. I'm 64 now and in my 49th deer season. I would love hunting ducks from a blind like this. Maybe I'll consider hunting deer from a blind like this when I'm too old to hunt like a deer hunter.
