Johnny Rockets is fantastic. I'm in Tennessee and you can sometimes find them in malls in bigger cities and touristy spots here and whenever I run into one I got to stop in. I know every 30 minutes or so they used to put on music and people would come out and dance and put on a show. Wonder if they still do that.

so my only thing with medium plus burgers in restaurants is it's a bit of a food safety issue. steaks and other large pieces of meat have a relatively limited surface area for bacteria, but once you grind the meat, you multiply the surface area by like a lot. so if a burger place wants to cook my burger medium or above, I'm ok with that. I don't want to roll the dice on getting sick.

And… if you want a ‘burger’ come to Springfield, IL and get a Horseshoe! It’s Texas toast with burger patties on top (there are variations like tenderloin or chicken or ham and even a breakfast Horseshoe) with fries piled on top and covered in cheese sauce! It’s one of the best ‘burgers’ that you can have!

From Alberta, Canada. First time i went to the US they asked me how i wanted my burger, I was confused. We don't have a choice how it is cooked, they are all cooked well done. Steaks we can get how we like it though.

I will only eat a Medium Rare burger if it is a thick fresh ground burger. Otherwise, I am a bit too concerned about pre-ground beef being undercooked, and I really love the crust of a good smashburger anyway.
