So..do you give them something in return..when e.g. they come out in a canoe? I'm sure you are clued up on this stuff. But on another KZbin channel (wind hippy) Vanuatu is described as the sort of place where you can’t just turn up anywhere and anchor, without getting some kind of permission from the headman. It’s like parking in someone’s garden, mooring off the beach. at the very least they want to trade, and you probably need to give them things like food items or old clothes. Anything that’s useful to them, because they are actually very poor. Things like tools are particularly valued.

Save money, don't buy toilet paper - bidet system is more hygienic too. A small thin cotton cloth each for drying and you're good to go! The cloth being thin is easy to wash and dries quickly.
