I agree with Dans take, Cadence/ rhythm is everything. Heel, toe with a slight pause inbetween. Sounds just like a deer, heavy on the front feet, lighter on the rear with slight distinctions in tone and one following the other. I also will come to a stop every 10-15 paces, upon stopping, stand in attention like the military. Works great

I’m glad I’m retired and 5 farms to myself in southeast Nebraska. I’m 68 and hunt now till nov 18th. Have a 20 ft trailer I hunt out of life is great. 🦌🦌🏹🏹

I recently got in a set up and had to clear a bunch of vines and twigs around me to be able to shoot, and I had doe’s at 80-100 yards away in plain sight the entire time and they never spooked which I thought I made a ton of noise, an hour after that I had a shooter buck come in, and where he came from there was no way he was bedded more than 150 yards away when I was clearing stuff and being noisy.

Bucks are moving good here in northern WV. Found several big rubs. Wednesday. Fresh scrape Thursday all within 30 yards of my treestand. Saw a decent 10 point Thursday at 10AM following 2 does. Wasn't chasing them or pushing them just staying 50 yds or so behind them. Just out of bow range unfortunately.

Nick, which county are you in? Are you seeing any cwd??? Im closing on a lot in Mineral county this week. Cwd area but some locals saying reports are overblown. Any knowledge on it???

@@davidthompson1529 im in Preston County. Haven't heard too much about CWD lately. They have some counties in the eastern panhandle, special cwd zones. Ehd is what everyone has been talking about lately. Been finding cases in several counties. But haven't heard how many cases per county. If it's 1 or 100. Who knows.

My biggest problem is not spending the extra time to specifically find their bed and just guessing where they are bedding. Lost my permission property right before the season so I couldn’t scout public before season. I have been stopping at fresh rubs and scrapes and not pushing in a bit more. Only seeing young deer in Michigan.

I just hunted about an 80 acre area about 2 miles back, found 7 scrapes and and every scrape had a camera on it
