Very good product review and honest video guys! All of the RAVIN's are super accurate and compact and they look very easy to carry. The thing that I like best about the R 26 compared to the other RAVIN models is the fact that the scope is secured on both ends, and isn't cantilevered like most of the other models including the R 29! I'm regretting I didn't take advantage of the BASS PRO Sports and CABELA's sale when this was $500 off!
@HuntShootLive Жыл бұрын
@Boomer Ranger Ron Thank you! The R26 is very awesome. Check out this 100 yard deer kill we just filmed with the R26 two weeks ago... kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXybpWOBgseSpac And you said Bass Pro had it for $500 off? What was the actual price? They didn't mark it up before they marked it down did they!?!
@boomerrangerron Жыл бұрын
@@HuntShootLive Yes they took of $500 from the standard MSRP for the R 26 of $1999. Check out my experiences with BARNETT, yes I'm ready for a RAVIN R 26! kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3LUaq2rnKabsK8

Go to wyvern Creations KZbin channel and look at Dave's video on sighting in Hawke and Ravin Optics. His video is short and to the point and spot on. If you want the most accuracy out of that crossbow you first need to check and make sure the ATA is in spec and that the timing dots are split by the cables. You'd be surprised how many crossbows leave the factories and they're not set to the proper specs.
@HuntShootLive2 жыл бұрын
@Charlie Beaver I will check that process out. We had not problems out to 100 yards on that day. He has since killed some deer with it. No problems. It was very simple in our case.

Caution: That screw is NOT a set-screw to lock down the speed-ring. At 400fps, the drop for an arrow is approx 84 inches and takes about 0.83 seconds to get there. A lot can happen in 0.83 sec and 84 inches if shooting at animals! Sounds like a long track job to me!
@HuntShootLive3 жыл бұрын
@SamT Yes, we did indicate that at the end of the video. I would think a set screw would be a good idea for that scope though. I agree about the distance and time. If the deer is alert at all it will probably be a terrible hit or an all out miss. I think I’ll stick with my compound. The Ravin is dang cool though!

Got some data or is your comment simply another unsubstantiated opinion?
@blacksrfm2 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly what that screw is for you just have to actual tighten it down it works on my model, I also did mark it so I know for sure 2
@charliebeaver67712 жыл бұрын
@@HuntShootLive in my opinion Hawke Optics are better. The speed ring on those Optics has a locking feature whereas Ravin Optics do not.
@charliebeaver67712 жыл бұрын
@@blacksrfm you might want to give Ravin a call or an email....... I believe they'll tell you that set screw is NOT for locking the speed ring. And I don't believe there's anything in any manual for the crossbow or the scope that says that's what that set screw is for

You can crank on silent mode by pushing the button at the back of the stock at the same time! Also, you are doing the loading incorrectly you need to back turn 2 twice and then press the button on the bottom another half return. You might wanna see some videos regarding this. Good luck.
@HuntShootLive Жыл бұрын
@eddiewiercioch777 Thanks for the info! I’m not sure about doing it “wrong”. Shot it for three years now. Killed several animals with it. Not had any problems.
