Great job cap. And yes measures twice drill once, great addition to your yacht cap.

I like the idea of adding the backer board I'm sure the cost was minimal and it will add to the longevity.

To find a reference line to measure from find a point on each side of deck that you know to be the same and draw or snap a line to measure or square from. I hate drilling holes in my boat but it's a necessary evil. Nice addition.

Made for flat waters not breaking waves from the aft.

I’ve been in rough seas with it and never lost it. This boat pushes a lot of water and not much will affect you in a following sea.

Great video. How has it held up since installation?

Still there and now with a heavier dinghy. Over 2000 miles and counting!

Thanks for the video. In the process of installing mine shortly. What is your dinghy’s length and beam?

I have the West Marine php275. It’s the lightest soft bottom I found. It’s 9’ long by 5’ wide. Plenty big for my wife and I. We have fit 4 adults on it.

Hey Skipper, are you still happy with the Hurley product? I have 2004, 341 and am looking at davit options. Thx!

It has held up nicely. Even survived Hurricane Ian with my dinghy still attached with no damage. I like being able to store the dinghy flat with motor attached. A little difficult to haul a heavy dinghy up without some pulley system so go for a light dinghy/motor combo.

I'm getting a 341 soon... why do you need a dinghy?
@AdventuresofHappyOurs2 жыл бұрын
I like being able to anchor out and use the dinghy to explore, go ashore, walk the dog. I couldn’t live without it. Plus it’s just fun. I use it often even when we are docked at our Marina.
