It honestly gets me mad to see. Now he’s got this notion in his head that he “got through the Blaze albums so he can get through this one and The Book of Souls.” I don’t think they’re even comparable. Anytime I’ve asked people what they don’t like about the albums they never give a straight answer. If Hurm enjoys maidens longer and more progressive songs then he’ll love the albums, I’d say there’s only 2 or 3 tracks that drag out a little bit too long but again, people cant tell him to skip anything

Solid song, no doubt. A bit original for Maiden, and that's so cool, being from 2010 and their FIFTEENTH album. The naysayers can take a hike. Maiden evolved, and that's a good, nay, a GREAT thing, because if they remained stuck in the 80's they wouldn't be the great and legendary band they are!

It’s a good song. Nice gallop and chug. The solos need to be longer and less scripted. Janick needs a new direction for his solo work- predictable, frankly so is Dave. Adrian is the one who keeps growing in his playing. I do like the first to tracks. If the entire album were in this vein it would make it very solid.

Gotta echo others with wondering who in their right mind would tell you to skip book of souls. It has some fucking awesome songs. Like i guess its ok if you don't like it and its fine for you to tell how you feel about it but with music and art in general its never going to be that everyone is of the same mind. Its always a matter of a personal preference and more often than not a mood that one happens to be on that specific moment in time when one hears a song. Id never tell anyone to not listen to a song, album or a band that i happen to not like cos it might become a new favorite or meaningful thing to the other even if it didn't strike as so to you. I think as a whole this is the weakest album of the new era to me, as always these are a matter of a taste and to others this might be the best one of the punch ,but in no way does it mean that there arent absolute bangers on this one too that i love.

Nah this is not the best song at all. The Talisman, Starblind, Isle of avalon(king arthur lore), the man who would be king, where the wild wind blows, the alchemist(sounds like a powerslave album track) i think are all better songs. I've been very critical about the book of souls album, but i decided to revisit it yesterday before Hurm1t and i have to admit i was a little wrong lol. The actual song book of souls is incredible, already one of my fav songs from the 20s albums!. plus 4 other songs are pretty damn good too. I wonder if the others will grow on me.

Agree it’s a good but not great song. Nice riff and Steve is smashing the bass again! Think it has a ‘western’ style about it deliberately in recognition of all the ‘cowboys’ during the financial crisis a few years ago. I also like how the intro is the same as the outro …book ends the song nicely. 🤘😎🤘
