Steve Harris said he wasn't trying to preach in his lyrics for Maiden's songs... but often, there are things happening in the world that he felt strongly about. 'For the greater good of God' was a song he wrote from observing that those who commit atrocities in the name of "God" are truly not doing it for the 'greater good'.
@jawosammadennhier70622 жыл бұрын
Most of the really good things I heard of were done by humble and regular people, invisibly. No boasting, no proclamations, no speeches. They just did it, in the quiet, out of personal conviction. That's the way I like it. It something bigger grows out of it naturally, so be it.

It is, i mean album is masterpiece, but it's so underrated, my first concert of Maiden was MOLAD ture, back in 2007th and it was amazing, legacy from album live is something else, and this album is one of the greatest album bit just in metal, in music generally, musicly, instruments vocals stories facts, just amazingly "maidenased" but still album come with bad critics and underrated as F! The singing of Dickinson on this album is 80% live run true and it's so freaking good....

Maiden are everything. They've been in the background of all the major events of my life for 30 years. I don't know how I'll cope when they've gone. This album hits differently to the others for me, seemingly more so now with things being as they are. Hell On Earth from Senjutsu gives me the same reaction that you had to this. Hope you're doing well man

you’re not alone. it’s not uncommon to see teary eyes in the crowd at iron maiden concerts. most fans have known the band’s music their whole lives. bruce dickinson said in an interview “we make music that we want to make, so if we fail, at least we failed for the right reasons”. i think their passion for what they write is a main reason that their fan base gives that passion right back.

It's the aggression and frustration that heavy metal music delivers sonically, like no other form of music, that lets us get out our own frustrations (whether personal or otherwise) and bang our heads to the beat... That gives us the release that we desperately often need to carry on w/ our lives when bad days descend upon us... I remember as a kid, how 'Trapped under ice' by Metallica was a shot in the soul when bad days were lining up against me.

Hope all is well, your reactions are great to an old maiden fan, emoting to a song should not be something to edit away, it’s real! I’ve watched many maiden reaction channels, but yours is easily the best. You actually get the music because you’ve dedicated time to enjoy and learn what they are rather than reacting to the big 3 songs for clicks. Thank you for what you are doing, we all appreciate your dedication! And once again, hope all is well.

Awesome reaction. Thank you! 🥲 I shed tears during this song, too. One fan shed tears after presenting "Blood Brothers", another one after reacting to "Empire of the clouds". I appreciate the saying: "It is not a problem to show your emotions. But it is a problem it you have none any more."

The beauty of music in general is how it can have double meanings, an obvious meaning explained through the lyrics and a personal meaning that fits every person's own experience. And the beauty of Heavy Metal is how it can contain extreme emotions that other genres cannot contain. I cannot find the words to describe how I praise your decision not to advertise your own problems online. This really shows how respectful a human being you are. All the best wishes and prayers to you from Egypt 🤘
